Nebula and Constellation

I started with one coat of Manhattan 1010N, a black cream. I didn't take any pictures of this one because, well, I'd say everybody knows how a black creme looks like, right? Then I added one coat of Aphrodite Lacquers Constellation ("Outta This World" collection)  and as an accent nail, one coat of Aphrodite Lacquers Nebula ("Outta This World" collection) on my ring finger.

Constellation is desbribed as "Black polish (jellyish) with dark blue glitters and small color shifting glitter (shifts from yellow-green to a bluish-green)"
(Source: Aphrodite Lacquers Etsy shop)
In low light, the dark blue glitters almost vanish in the black base, you have to look really hard to see them.

Nebula is a "black polish (jellyish) with tiny sky blue shimmers, silver glitter, and sky blue glitter".
(Source: Aphrodite Lacquers Etsy shop)

The formula on both polishes was good, one coat was enough to get a good amount of glitter on the nails, no fishing or dabbing needed. But the black base is pretty sheer, so I decided to layer them over a black creme. If you want to wear them alone, I'd say it would take three to four coats to reach full opacity.

This picture is overexposed to reveal all the glitter

Constellation was a limited edition and is now discontinued, but Nebula is still available at the Aphrodite Lacquers Etsy shop.

Monroe, Voodoo, Goldie Boo... Boo

I have one last fall mani to show you before december starts.

My base color today is Picture Polish Monroe (old, discontinued version). Monroe is a dark blood-red with holographic microglitters. I expected it to be very sheer, but three coats were enough for full opacity.

This version of Monroe is discontinued, but there's a new version with the same base color, but larger holographic glitters.

You can see my reflection on the polish taking this picture. No topcoat on this one, that's how shiny it is!

On top of Monroe, I added one coat of Candeo Colors Voodoo, a clear base with gunmetal, gold and matte purple hexes.

On my ring finger I'm wearing one coat of ILoveNP Goldie Boo... Boo (Limited Edition, still available at the moment), a clear base filled with hex glitters in orange, brown, gold und gunmetal. This one really screams "fall" with its autumn foliage colors.

Both glitter polishes are pretty thick, so it's easier to dab them on instead of wiping. Golide Boo... Boo is a bit thinner, so spreading the glitter was a bit easier.

Picture Polish are available at LlaroweHarlow & Co.Overall Beauty and Mei Mei's Signatures.

Candeo Colors are sold at Llarowe.

ILoveNP can be purchased on Etsy

Blue Circles

For this mani, I started with Catrice Birds Flying High (Coolibri LE), a medium blue creme, and Barielle Swizzle Stix, a light, turquoise leaning blue creme, on my ring finger, three coats each.

Then I used China Glaze Adore (Romantique Collection) and Konad plate m65 for the stamping. I finished with one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer.

No Whine Left

Today I have KBShimmer's No Whine Left (Fall Collection) for you.

No Whine Left is "a deep plum, almost burgundy wine color, this polish is loaded with blue, aqua, fuchsia, and purple hex glitters in several sizes. The glitters in this polish seem to pop out in different lights, adding a fun depth to it."
(Source: KBShimmer)

The base color looks different depending on the lighting and the angle you look at it. Sometimes it looks dark purple, almost black, sometimes it looks burgundy red.

The base isn't a jelly, but a crelly (creme-jelly hybrid), so it's opaque in two to three coats. I used three and finished with one coat of Essie Good to Go.

KBShimmer polishes can be purchased at the KBShimmer store (US only) or at Harlow & Co.

Perceval and Tyranny

Today I've got a black and red combo for you.

I used Oopsie Daisies (I love the name of this brand) Tyranny, a black jelly with different sizes of red hex glitters. The jelly base is pretty sheer, so I had to use four coats to get it opaque. But with a top coat drying time was not an issue.

On my ring finger I used a-England Perceval, one of my favorite reds ever. It's not too dark, not too light, and has a gorgeous shimmer. One coat would have been enough, but I used two nonetheless.

I used Konad plate m65 and black Essence stamping polish for the stamping.

Some of the larger glitters started curling (I think this is called "taco-glitter"), but two coats of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer were enough to smooth it out.

Oopsie Daisies are sold at Etsy, but Tyranny seems to be either sold out or discontinued.
a England got their own shop and are also sold at Llarowe and Ninja Polish.

Purple Indies

I really had a hard time taking these pictures. My camera didn't like these polishes at all and showed them blue. No matter what I tried, no matter what settings, lighting, background I used, blue. So I tried adjusting the color, but in the end, I hope you just have enough imagination to picture the polishes warmer than shown here.

On my thumb I'm wearing four coats of Girly Bits Boo-berry (Halloween Collection 2012),
"a deep blurple jelly with purple, fuschia, navy blue and black hexes and squares, and sparse micro glitter."
(Source: Creator's blog)

Some of the bigger squares tend to curl a little, but that's the only criticism I have to add. The jelly base is pretty sheer, but I didn't mind using four coats, it dries rather quickly.

On my index finger are four coats of Smitten Polish Lovely Lilacs,
"a plethora of sizes and shades of purple and pink and holo glitter suspended in a deep purple jelly base."
(Source: Smitten Polish Etsy Shop)

This one sadly is discontinued. It's a pretty warm toned color and due to lots and lots of microglitter very sparkly.
I had no issues whatsoever with application, the formula is great.

On my middle finger I'm wearing two coats of Candeo Colors Sour Grapes (Winter 2012 Collection).
"Sour Grapes has a shimmery vibrant purple base and is loaded with multiple sizes of lavender, purple and dark purple hex and square glitter. Small black hex glitter is thrown in for good measure."
(Source: CandeoColors Etsy Shop)

This one was the hardest to catch on camera. In real life, it's not as blue as shown here.

This is the most opaque of the five, I needed only two coats. It also was the hardest to capture on camera. The color is cool toned and really very vibrant and shows really nice glitters (including holographic hexes and pink microglitter).

My ring finger shows three coats of Hare Polish Amethystos (Finder's Keepers Collection).

The base color is visibly lighter than on the three previously showed polishes, is leans to a darker lavender. It's loaded with glitters in different colors, gold, sliver, pink, lavender and blue. Most of them are small round glitter, but there's also some small silver square glitter. I really like this one, but I think I'm going to layer one coat over a similar colored creme or shimmer  next time, because there's almost to much glitter in it with three coats.

Finally on my pinkie, four coats of KBShimmer Diva.
"To accent this grape like purple, we added several sizes of holographic sliver glitter along with aqua and pink  holographic glitters. Over 10 different colors and glitters ensure that this pretty purple polish packs a punch."
(Source: KBShimmer Shop)

I didn't count the colors and sizes of the glitter, but I don't doubt that it's over 10. The base color is pretty warm toned, and due to all the holographic glitters, this one is really sparkly. Because it's a jelly, it's a little sheer, but buildable to full opacity. I had no problems with the formula.

I finished this mani with one coat of Essie Good to Go.
