Coquettish Creature

No, the post title isn't an insult, but the name of today's polish ;-)

Coquettish Creature has a dark taupe pase with colorshifting flakies, from pink over gold to green and blue. Sadly, the colorshift didn't translate to the nails very well, it's more visible in the bottle shot. I used three coats for aopcity and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

La Belle Endormie

La Belle Endormie is today's polish by Pahlish.

La Belle Endormie is a deep plum with golden sheen and golden flakies. I used three thin coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used Barry M. Gold Foil and MoYou London Crystal Collection plate 02. Somehow, the gold polish looks more like a pale pink over the dark base. I can't explain it, because the gold is quite opaque, but I still like the outcome. I applied one coat of Bundle Monster Smidge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Singing Towers

As you might know, I really love the british TV show Doctor Who, so when Pahlish presented a Doctor Who themed collection a while ago (ok, almost three years ago...) I had to get some of these polishes. Here's one of them.

I started with three coats of Pahlish Singing Towers, a chocolate brown jelly with vivid orange flakies and some holo sparkles. For the stamping I used Barry M. Gold Foil and ÜberChic plate 15-01. I secured the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top on all nails.

Wood You Wanna Honey?

Something more business appropriate for today!

As base I applied three coats of Pahlish Slow Like Honey. On my ring and middle finger, I stamped using MoYou London Princess COllection plate 14 and China Glaze Wood You Wanna?. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Herbstgefühle

The Frisch Lackiert Challenge starts an new round, and since I had much fun the last time, I'm participating again. The october/november set starts with the theme autumn feelings.

The first thing that comes into my mind when I thing about autumn is the colorful trees. So I went with a reverse stamped mani with autumn leaves. I used Pahlish Monte D'Or as a base (two coats), the ÜberChic Lovely Leaves plate for the pattern, Barry M. Gold Foil for the contours and Pahlish Fields Of Gold, e England Briarwood, Colory By Llarowe Billy Jean, Catrice Smooth Chocolate and Astor Golden Green for the leaves. One generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top secured the stamping.

aEngland polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

Colors By llarowe are available at their own storeHypnotic polish, Color4Nails, Harlow & Co and a lot of other retailers.

Root Beer Barrel

Root Beer Barrel ist today's polish by Pahlish.

Root Beer Barrel has a chocolate brown jelly base filled with small golden shards and multichrome hexes. I used three easy coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. As you can see in the bottleshot, the hex glitters shift from red over orange, gold and green to blue. Sadly, this shift didn't really translate to the nails. You can see a hint of orange and green on my nails, but no red or blue...

For a more elegant look, I added one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte.

Root Beer Barrel is no longer produced, but other Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.

Hoodies, Leaves, and S'Mores!

We had some rain in the last couple of days, but as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, a long heatwave made a lot of trees turn brown or even lose their leaves already. Maybe that's the reason I reached for this gorgeous fall color...

Hoodies, Leaves, and S'Mores! by Pahlish has an olive green jelly base and is filled with gold and copper flakie glitters. I used three coats for opactiy and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Forest Of The Lawn

The last few months have been very warm and dry here in Switzerland (and a lot of other places on this planet), so juicy green leaves are not something you see often at the moment. Most trees look more brown than green here. So I painted some green leaves on my nails.

My base color is Pahlish Forest Of The Dead, a dark green jelly with green, gold and holographic microglitters. I used three coats for opacity.

For the leaves I used Kiko Mirror Lacquer 626 (Lawn Green) and B. loves plates B.04 Leaves Of Happiness plate. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping and gave the mani some extra shine.

Forest Of The Dead is no longer produced, but other Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.
