Top 10 Polishes 2014

The year is almost over, it's time for me to show you my favorite polishes of 2014. So here are my 10 favorites that were released this year, and that I've already worn. There are a lot of gorgeous 2014 polishes with my untrieds, but they sadly won't appear here, neither do the ones I loved weraing in 2014 but were released in 2013 or earlier. A Rainbow For Anti Homophobia Day

Today's Anti Homophobia Day, so here's my rainbow.





I used six glitter topper over a black base (a England Camelot)

My purple is Alter Ego Nail Enamel Vintner, a clear base filled with small hexes in purple, lilac and hot pink plus lilac microglitter.





















Blue is GlimmerByErica Beneath The Blue (already shown here), a clear base with blue and aqua hexes plus aqua microglitter.






















The green is Orly Mermaid Tale (shown here), a clear base filled with green hexes in various sizes and shades (even some holographics).
















The gold one's by Orly too, Sashay My Way, a clear base with shiny, matte and holographic gold hexes and  bars.


For orange I used Liquid Sky Lacquer Fall In New England (shown here), a clear base filled with small orange and gold hexes plus medium orange, green and purple matte hexes.















My red is Emily de Molly Ruby Soho (shown here),  a clear base filled with red glitters in various sizes and shapes (hexes, circles, bars), some shiny, some mate and some holographic.















One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish.

A Box, Indied - New Beginnings

After the december "A Box, Indied" directly to the january box, today with Liquid Sky Lacquers New Beginnings.

New Beginnings has a silvery white holo base with blue holographic hexes and some blue shimmer particles. In a way it's pretty similar to Etheral Lacquer Winter Vail I showed you on saturday, but with blue glitters instead of iridescent ones.

New Beginnings is pretty sheer, but light holos often are. I used four coats for opacity. One coat of Rica Glossy Glam Topcoat helped speeding up the drying time.

After New Beginnings was completely dry (I waited about two hours), I used the chevron nail vinyls and China Glaze Adore (Romantique Collection) to add a "stair like" pattern. Another coat of Rica Glossy Glam finished this mani.

A Box, Indied - Fall In New England

Part four of this month's A Box, Indied is Liquid Sky Lacquer's Fall In New England.

As base color I used three coats of OPI Warm & Fozzie (Muppets Collection), a clear base stuffed with small glitters in brown, orange and gold that add to a warm brown-ish fall color.

On top of Warm & Fozzie, I layered one coat of Fall In New England. Fall In New England has a clear base and is filled with small orange and gold hexes plus medium orange, green and purple matte hexes.

You can bring Fall In New England to opacity in about three coats, if you don't want to layer it. No dabbing needed, the glitters spread nicely with wiping it on. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat for a smooth finish.
