Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Fishtail

The Frisch Lackiert Challenge is a nail art challenge hostet by the blog Frisch Lackiert (duh). It's been arbound quite some time now, but this round is the first time I'm participating, too. The first prompt is Fishtail.

For my mani I used three MoYou London stamping polishes, Sage Smoke, Ever Green and Winter Green. The fishtail pattern on my accent nails I painted directly with the brush of the polish bottles. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Creatures With Scales

Creatures with scales are this week's challenge theme. And since I love Fantasy and SciFi, the creature I chose is the dragon.

My base color is Pahlish The Ghost Shift, a charcoal grey holo with a golden sheen. I used three coats for opacity.

For the dragon I used white Born Pretty Store stamping polish and the ÜberChic Far East plate 01. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping.

The Ghost Shift is no longer produced, but other Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.

Lavender Flowers

For me, spring means mostly flowers and pastel colors. So here's a typical spring mani ;-)

My base polish is LynBDesigns Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-Ven-Der, a lavender polish with a subtle holo shimmer. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used MoYou London After The Storm and Born Pretty Store plate BPS-L034. One coat of KBhimmer Clearly On Top secured the stamping.

LynBDesigns polishes are available at their own shop.

Nail Crazies Unite: Neon Floral

Neon Florals for this week's challenge.

I used the reverse stamping technique for this one, using Essence Back In Black and Black Cat Laquer Sunburned plus MoYou London Pro Collection plate 12 over a white base (two coats of Essence Wild White Ways). As usual, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Pshiiit Leaves

Happy tuesday everbody!

My base polish for this mani is Picture Polish Pshiiit, a duochrome shimmer shifting from green to teal, with some flakies in it. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used Kiko Mirror Lacquer 625 (Emerald) and, ah well, some stamping plate. I usually put the plate away until I've written the blog post, but apparently I forgot this time, so I honestly don't remember which one it was, sorry!

Picture Polish are available at  Harlow & Co., Pshiiit and their own shop (plus many more, here's a list of additional retailers).

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Things That Are Round

Things that are round are this week's challenge theme. While browsing through my stamping plates, I found the Born Pretty Store Time Travel BPX-L023 plate and suddenly really felt like a steam punk mani. I just love the look of these gear wheels (I had to look up the english term, in german, these things are called "Zahnrad", which translates as "tooth wheel").

As base I used three coats of Colors By Llarowe Burnt Sugar, a chocolate brown holo. This one's rather sheer, three coats were wearable, but not completely opaque.

For the stamping, I used the Born Pretty Store plate and a duochrome Born Pretty Store stamping polish, shifting from gold to rose gold. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Cherish Rehab

This year, I spent the Easter holidays in Porto, Portugal, and that's what I was wearing on my nails.

I started with three coats of ILNP Rehab, a vivid teal holo.

For the stamping I used China Glaze Cherish and Bundle Monster plate BM-XL220. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

Nail Crazies Unite: Modern Art

Modern Art is this week's challenge theme. I'm not really into modern art, I prefer the impressionists of the late 19th century, like von Gogh and Monet, but since I've visited a lot of museums, I've seen my share of modern art, too. As you might know, I'm not at all a accomplished free hand nail artist, so I chose somebody that seemed easiest to me: Piet Mondrian (his late work, obviously).

For my mani I used Essence Wild White Ways, MoYou London Sweet Custard and Born Pretty Store stamping polishes in red, blue and black, plus a striping brush. I probably should have used striping tape for crisper lines, but I just didn't have the time for a tape mani...
