52 Week Challenge - 2 Color Gradient / Teal

Now that the Golden Oldie Thursday is over, this week a new challenge of the Crumpet's Nail Tarts starts: the 52 Week Pick N Mix Challenge. Every week there will be two themes (pattern and color), and every participant can choose to either do one, showing both themes in two posts or combining both themes in one post. This weeks themes are two color gradient and teal. I chose to combine both themes in one mani (using only oldie polishes).

On my pinkie, index and thumb I started with two coats of Essie Naughty Naughtical, a vibrant aqua green with glassfleck shimmer. On my ring and middle finger I used two coats of P2 Opulent, a blackened green textured polish.

For the gradient I used Naughty Naughtical and Trophy Wife (also by Essie), a teal shimmer. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top made the gradient look a little smoother.

A Box, Indied - Finnnally It’s HOODIE TIME!!

For the end of this week I have the last of the september "A Box, Indied" polishes to show you: CrowsToes  Finnnally It’s HOODIE TIME!!

Finnnally It’s HOODIE TIME!! has a dark teal jelly base (so dark it actually looks navy blue) and orange-red hexes in three sizes plus some holo glitter particles. I used three coats for my pictures and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Crows Toes polishes are available at Llarowe and Overall Beauty. Finnnally It’s HOODIE TIME!! is exclusive to the september "A Box, Indied". The box is available at Llarowe as a one-time-only box or as a monthly subscription.

Golden Oldie Thursday - Brown

Today's the last Golden Oldie Thursday (next week a new challenge will start), and the very last GOT-theme is "brown".

My base color is Color Club Antiquated, a golden beige foil. I used three coats for opacity and had no issues with application (I did have some issues with clean up, though. You can still see the foil particles on my cuticles...).

I used Kicks Burning Desert and MoYou Pro Collection plate 03 for the stamping. Burning Desert is a redd-ish brown, almost maroon shimmer in the bottle, a somewhat grey-ed out brown in the thin stamping layer. Used as stamping polish it almost looks like walnut wood. One coat if KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

The next polish of the september "A Box, Indied" I want to show you is Contrary Polish The Mellower Season.

The Mellower Season has a dusky purple jelly base filled with copper shimmer. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamped leaves I used Catrice Metalight (Metallure Limited Edition) and MoYou Landscape Collection Plate 03. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top secured the stamping.

Golden Oldie Thursday - Burnt Orange / Copper

Golden Oldie Thursday! This week's theme is burnt orange / copper.

As base color I chose Models Own Copper Pot, a copper polish with a light green shimmer that gives it a somewhat duochrome look. I used three coats for opacity.

Then I used MoYou Sailor Collection plate 07 and black Essence stamping polish to add this wave pattern that looks almost like flames over the copper base. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

A Box, Indied - Metamorphose

The second polish of the september "A Box, Indied" is Hare Polish Metamorphose.

Metamorphose has a dusky blue jelly base with slight green undertones. The base is filled with blue iridescent hexes, pastel pink hexes and dots and green-ish golden flakes. Three coats provided opacity and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top was enough for a smooth finish. No issues with application to report.

Hare polishes are available on Etsy or at Llarowe. Metamorphose is exclusive to the september "A Box, Indied". The box with five polishes is available at Llarowe as a one month only box or as subscription (50$ per box).
