Snowflakes

This mani I created for the When Colours Collide challenge some time ago...

I dry-marbeled on my ÜberMat using essence Wild White Ways and royal blue Born Pretty Store stamping polish as base. Then I stamped some snowflakes using Barry M. Silver Foil and B. loves Plates let it snow pale. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top secured the stamping.

When Colours Collide: Black, silver & gold

Oh boy, I'm sooo behind wit my blogging. I got a ton of pictures I need to edit and blogposts to write. So let's start here, with black, silver and gold for the When Colors Collide round that ended almost two weeks ago...

This color combo screams NYE for me, but that would be way to early, so I went with autumn trees. Two coats of Essence Black Is Back as a base, Barry M. Silver Foil and Gold Foil as stamping polishes and a double stamping pattern on the ÜberChic Lovely Leaves plate. Add some topcoat and voilà.

Enchanted Polish

A gold mani for golden october.

As base I applied three coats of Enchanted Polish Rare Magic, a golden holo with a subtle shift to blue. In the swatch picture it looks somewhat charcoal-blue, but in the full mani pictures you can see a hint of the color shift.

For the stamping I used ÜberChic Lovely Leaves plate and Barry M. Gold Foil. As usual, I topped the mani with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Enchanted Polish are available at Pshiiit and their own shop.

Seriously Sassy

Seriously Sassy is today's polish by Girly Bits.

My camera hated this polish and showed it blue, when in fact it's a cool toned purple jelly with blue and purple glitters, as you can see by the cheap cellphone bottle shot at the end of the post. Somebody tell my why I use my big DSLR for pictures again...?

For the stamping I used Barry M. Lilac Foil (again, purple, not blue) and MoYou London Minimal Collection plate 01, plus, as usual, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Girly Bits polishes are available at her own store, Harlow & Co. and Mei Mei's Signatures, but Seriously Sassy seems to be no longer available.

4th of July

Happy Independence Day to my american readers! Of course, it's not a holiday here in Switzerland, but I'm going to a Kiss concert tonight (my first and probably last, since this is supposed to be their final tour), so it's a special day for me, too ;-)

With a polish called Star Spangled, canadian brand Girly Bits pays a lovely hommage to their southern neighbour with lots of blue and some red and silver glitters in a blue jelly base, that builds up to opacity with three coats.

To be honest, I wore this mani quite a while ago and didn't think of this day, that's why I chose not white but silver for the stamping (Barry M. Silver Foil) and flowers instead of stars (MoYou London Pro Collection plate XL-24), but I hope, you can still accept it ;-) Of course, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Reverse Stamping

Reverse stamping is today's challenge prompt.

I really love portuguese azulejo, those blue ceramic tile art, so I went for a white and blue pattern with the MoYou London Porcelain Collection plate 04 and white Born Pretty Store stamping polish. I filled the tiles with three shades of blue (MoYou London Chill Out, Barry M. Indigo and Essie Bobbing For Baubles) directly on my stamper and applied it over a white base (one coat of Essence Wild White Ways). Then came three coats of topcoat, first Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat, followes by KBShimmer Clearly On Top and Picture Polish G'Day Matte.

This is the portuguese tile art, in case you didn't know it. I took the picture at the Estação de São Bento train station in Porto. My mani doesn't really look like it, but I think it translates the general look.

Chocolate Cog Wheels

How about some steampunk for today?

I started with three coats of ILNP Chocolate Slate, a chocolate brown (duh) polish with holo sparkles and some golden flakies.

For the stamping I used Barry M. Gold Foil and Born Pretty Store stamping plate Time Travel BPX-L023. If you like steampunk manis, you definitely need this stamping plate, it's full of different cog wheel patterns. As usual, I added one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Miau

Kitties are this week's challenge theme with the prompt meow. That gave me the perfect opportunity to test my new MoYou London stamping plate: Space Cats!

As base I used three coats of one of my "night sky in a bottle"-polishes, LynBDesigns Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. Then I stamped the space cats and stars using Barry M. Silver Foil and MoYou London Sci-Fi Collection plate 10. One coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearrly On Top finished the mani.

LynBDesigns polishes are available at their own shop.
