Harlequin Potion Master

I think in times like these we all need some more glitter in our lifes, right?

As base for this glitter mani I applied two coats of Maniology Harlequin, a dark blue creme stamping polish with teal undertones.

On my base I dabbed one generous coat of CrowsToes Absolum - Your Potions Master, a chunky glitter topper in a clear base. There are silver holographic, green, blue and orange hex glitters in it, plus some black bar glitters. As most chunky glitters, Absolum dried a little gritty, so be generous with your top coat (I used KBShimmer Clearly On Top).

NYE

Of course I have my New Year's Eve (or Silvester, as it's called in german) mani to show you.

My base color is CrowToes Huginn & Muninn, a multichrome shimmer with blue, green and purple hues. It seemed quite sheer in the bottle, so I used one coat over a dark blue base (two coats of Essie Style Cartel).

For the stamping I used Barry M. Silver Foil and MoYou London Festive Collection plate 06. For the shiny finish, I used one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Jotunheim

Happy Monday! Ok, I'm more like Garfield, I hate mondays, but well, as I can't change it is monday, I might as well just imagine I like mondays, so it seems less hard to start the week ;-I

Today's polish is Crows Toes' Jotunheim, a dark purple jelly polish with lots of small multichrome glitters changing from gold over green to blue, plus some slightly bigger gold holographic hex glitters. I used three coats and added one generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

Vanaheim

Vanaheim by CrowsToes is today's polish. The name might sound like Anaheim in California, home of Disneyland, but actually is one of the spheres in norsk mythology.

Vanaheim is a quite interesting polish, a double multichrome. It has a colorshifting shimmer base, shifting from an almost olive green over teal to blue, and is filled with colorshifting glitters shifting from orange over gold and green to blue. I used three coats and added two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top, since the small glitters are quite topcoat hungry and the surface still felt a little gritty after one coat.

Chess!.... You Dog!

Another glitter mani for today.

I started with three thin coats of Essie Parka Perfect, a muted dove grey with very subtle silver shimmer.

My glitter topper is CrowsToes Chess!.... You Dog!, a clear base filled with lots of black and blue glitters in hex, dot and diamond shapes, some of them holograpic. This topper dried very gritty (my bottle is several years old, though, maybe it was less gritty when it was new. It's still available, so you can see for yourself, if you want), so I added two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

Indian Summer

It's probably not really the right time to show you a polish called Indian Summer, but well, it's pretty, so that's a good reason to show it out of season, right?

Indian Summer by CrowsToes is a multichrome shifting from blue over purple to a pink-ish red. I used three coats for opacity (no black base needed).

For the stamping I used Lily Anna plate 05 and Barry M. Lilac Foil, then I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Nail Crazies Unite - Chevron

Today, the Nail Crazies Unite challenge wants to see chevrons, so here are mine.

As base I used three coats of Crows Toes Nidavellir, a multichrome polish shifting from (in my pictures not visible) teal over blue to purple. It's not a shimmer, but a clear base filled with myriads of tiny flakies, so clean up was quite a hassle. It also has some green glitters in it.

After the base was completely dry, I added some chevron nail vinyls and one coat of Kiko 625 (Emerald) on my ring and middle finger. I removed the vinyls immediatley after polishing the nails and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
