Jade Indulgency

I've benn showing a lot of green(ish) manis lately, I hope you're not sick of them, because I promise, there will come more...

Today's green is Born Pretty Store Indulgency. It looks almost pastel in the bottle, with lots of silver shimmer, and I was quite surprised to see such a vivid grass green on my nails. The picture shows two coats.

For the stamping, I used a very light, almost white green called Icy Jade by MoYou London. The stamping plate is ÜberChic 24-01. As usual, I added one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Penny Basil

Some time ago, enails.eu asked if I wanted to try some of their products. Of course, I said yes. Today's polish was offered for free. Thank you so much, enails.eu

enails.eu is a nail polish store based in Lithuania, they sell various brands of nail polish, gel polish, mani equipment and lots more, and they ship worldwide. Their stock concentrates on long lasting manis, with brands/series like Essie Gel Couture, OPI Infinite Shine or CND Vinylux. But they also have lots of Zoya polishes.

The second polish I chose is  CND Vinylux Art Basil #210. It's a teal polish with glass fleck shimmer that looks rose gold in the bottle. Sadly, the rose gold didn't really translate to the nails. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping, I used Essie Penny Talk (to pick up the rose gold shimmer) and B. loves plates B.05 let it snow. Then I added one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

The CND Vinylux series is supposed to be wearable for up to two weeks. I can't talt about that, since I never wear a mani that long, but for the three days I wore it it held perfectly, without the faintest hint of tipwear or chipping.

Since I don't use gel polish, I chose a regular nail polish, Zoya Saldana. This one has a very sheer light blue jelly base, filled with lots of shimmer that shifts from pink to gold. There are also lots of aqua hex glitters in three sizes. I used three coats for this still somewhat translucent look. If you prefer an opaque mani or want to keep the blue look the polish has in the bottle, I'd recommend using a light blue base. For a smoother finish, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

When Colours Collide: red, orange and yellow

A new round of When Colours Collide, with bright and sunny red, orange and yellow.

I started with three coats of Catrice Earnie and Birdie, a vivid yellow creme. Then I doublestamped with MoYou London Pumpkin and a red Born Pretty Store stamping polish and Clear Jelly Stamper plate CJS C-21. As usual, I added one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

381 Gold

Another green look for this week, but a pretty different kind of green.

My base is a Girly Bits polish from a test batch. It has no name, just a number, 381. It's a murky olive green with gold shimmer and some tiny holo sparkles. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used Barry M. Gold Foil and ÜberChic plate 15-01. I fixed the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and added some extra shine with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Girly Bits polishes are available at her own store, Harlow & Co. and Mei Mei's Signatures.

Cherish the Tree

How about some color to start the week?

I used two coats of Colors By Llarowe Oh Christmas Tree (yes, I know, I'm about two months late with that one), a dark green linear holo. It looks teal in my pictures, charcoal grey in the bottle but green on my nails irl. A quite interesting color.

For the stamping, I used China Glaze Cherish and ÜberChic plate 24-01. I secured the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Colors By llarowe are available at their own storeHypnotic polish, Color4Nails, Harlow & Co and a lot of other retailers.

Coquettish Creature

No, the post title isn't an insult, but the name of today's polish ;-)

Coquettish Creature has a dark taupe pase with colorshifting flakies, from pink over gold to green and blue. Sadly, the colorshift didn't translate to the nails very well, it's more visible in the bottle shot. I used three coats for aopcity and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.

When Colours Collide: dark blue, copper & white

Yesterday another round of When Colours Collide ended, with the color prompt dark blue, copper and white.

I went with distressed nails, just applying some Essie Style Cartel and MoYou London with the almost dry brush over a base of two coats of Essence Wild White Ways and finishing with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. I just love the "modern art" look of distressed nails, I should use this technique more often.
