Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Lieblingsbuch/-film

Favourite book or movie is this week's prompt for the Frisch Lackiert Challenge.

I had a hard time deciding what to do, since I don't have a single favourite book or movie. On of my most beloved books (I've read it at least 15 times) is the german fantasy classic "Die unendliche Geschichte" (The neverending story). I started with three coats of Manhattan Marcel Ostertag 005, a grey creme, since the cover of the german edition is grey. Then I stamped a black wolf (Magno Nails plate MM34), a white dragon with golden eyes (MoYou London Suki Collection plate 07) and a white horse (Bundle Monster plate BM-615). The black snake that bites a white snake's tail I painted by hand. The polishes I used are black and white Born Pretty Store stamping polishes and Barry M. Gold Foil. I finished with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat.

Oceania

My base color is Manhattan 36L, a duochrome shimmer shifting from light blue to aqua. I used three coats for the pictures. Something didn't seem to be right with this polish, in tthe pictures with the topper you can see, that it just melted away under the other polish, producing these weird wrinkles on my nails...

The glitter topper is Candeo Oceania, a clear base filled with white, grey and aqua hexes. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Candeo polishes don't seem to be produced anymore.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Animals

Animals are this week's challenge theme. I not only love dogs, as you can see on my profile picture, but also cats, so I chose the tiger for this mani.

The base color I used is Manhattan 10V, a burnt orange / copper glitter polish, I wore three coats.

The stamping plate I used for my accent nail and as well for my other fingers is Bundle Monster BM-613. For the accent nail I also used Manhattan Palm Leaf (green), Essie Blanc (white) and Catrice Paris (nude). As usual, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Cleary On Top.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Kids TV

Kids TV ist today's theme for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge, and I chose a TV show I loved to watch as a kid: Calimero.

The polishes I used are P2 Eternal (black), Essence Stamping Polish (white), Catrice Ernie & Birdy (yellow), Max Factor Bright Orange (explains itself, right?), Manhattan Palm Leaf (green) and OPI Dating A Royal (blue). As always, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Palm Drop

How about some color shifting flakies for today?

I started with two coats of Manhattan Palm Leaf, a saturated green with blue undertones and a golden shimmer.

On top of Palm Leaf I added one coat of Girly Bits Jaw Drop, a clear based flakie topper. The flakies are translucent and multichrome, shifting from orange over yellow and green to blue. I topped it with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Then I added one coat of Picture Polish G'day Matte, a matte topcoat.

Girly Bits polishes are available at her own store, Harlow & Co.Overall Beauty and Mei Mei's Signatures.

52 Week Challenge - Swirls / 3 Shades of Red / Orange

Swirls and tree shades of red or orange are this week's challenge themes.

On my pinkie, index and thumb I used three coats of China Glaze Lubu Heels, a black jelly with tons of tiny ruby red glitter.

For my ring and middle finger I started with three coats of Manhattan 46K, a cherry red creme, added a drop of MNY 357, a very dark red creme, and mixed them together by swirling a toothpick. As always, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
