Like Yoda... But Less Green

Like Yoda... But Less Green ist the name of today's polish. I really don't know what this polish has to do with the Jedi Master, but I'm here to show the polish and not to question the name, right?

Like Yoda... But Less Green is an eggplant colored linear holo with small multicolored hex glitters in it, some of them holographic. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Wing Dust Collection polishes seem to be no longer available.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-L 006

Today I want to show you a stamping plate Born Pretty Store offered me. Thank you so much, Born Pretty Store!

I started with three coats of WingDust Collections Once In A Blue Moon. Once In A Blue Moon is what I call "galaxy nails in a bottle", a dark blue shimmer with green reflexes and silver holo microglitter. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for extra shine.

The stamping plate I used is Born Pretty Store BP-L 006. It has a rectangular shape and a white back, just like the ones from MoYou London, and it's also the same size. The patterns are a little smaller, though, but still large enough for my nails. There are 14 full nail pattern and 8 smaller ones, so you get a lot of different manis out of it. I had no issues using it, the pattern transferred perfectly. The stamping polish I used is MoYou London Surf's Up, a cerulean blue creme.

If you like this stamping plate, you can get it here for 2.59$

WingDustCollections polishes are available on Etsy.

The stamping plate was offered for reviewing purposes. Again, thank you very much, Born Pretty Store!

Blue Steel

Today I have a new blie combo to show you.

My base color is Depend 324, a vibrant royal blue creme. The formula of this one is definitely on the sheer side, the three coats I used look opaque in my pictures, but held to the light, the nail line was still slightly visible.

Then I added one coat of Wingdust Collections Blue Steel, a lear base filled with iridescent blue, green and purple shard glitters and flakies.

The glitters spread nicely over the nail and change color depending on the light and angle you look at them. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish.

WingDustCollections polishes are available on Etsy and at Llarowe. Blue Steel seems to be discontinued.

Golden Oldie Thursday - Something Tropical

Today's theme of the Golden Oldie Thursday is "something tropical". I chose a tropical ocean :-)

My pinkie, middle finger and thumb show three coats of WingDust Collection Ocean Tears, a turquoise jelly with slight grey undertones, filled with aqua and turquoise holographic hexes and some holo-shimmer pigment. The first coat was very irregular, all the polish assembled on one side of the nail, but the other coats applied easily to a regular surface.

On my ring and index finger I used two coats of aEngland Galahad, a creme polish in almost the same shade as Ocean Tear's jelly base. On my ring finger I used some Born Pretty Store water decals (I actually expected to get the tropical fish, like the first picture. I ordered twice, but I got the sea shells both times...), on my index finger I stamped some fish using MoYou Sailor Collection plate, Essie Turquoise & Caicos and Size Matters, Catrice Vanilla Love and Salmon & Garfunkel.

One coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer finished this mani (and smeared my stamping...).

a England polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

WingDustCollections polishes are available on Etsy and at Llarowe. As Ocean tears is a golden oldie, it's not available anymore.

Take a look at all the other tropical manis below

Moonlight Sonata

I've been eyeing today's polish for quite some time now, loving the swatches I saw, trying to buy it, but it was out of stock all the time, forgetting about it for a while until I saw new swatches. The last swatch I've seen (and loved) was by Christine (Polished Marvels, her blog is really worth checking out) a fellow swiss blogger. And finally Wingdust Collections' Moonlight Sonata was in stock when I tried to order :-)

"The dark black jelly base is loaded with soft turquoise and bright sparks of fuschia and purple to represent the moments of passionate tempo, tempered with soft subtle iridescent glitters that only come thru at the right angle- finish it off with a subtle aqua to rose shimmer that is shy at best."
(Source: WingDust Collections)

The black jelly base is pretty sheer, so I decided to layer one coat over a black creme (a England Camelot). The biggest glitters, I'd call the color teal, I think it's too dark to be a turquoise, felt a tiny bit bumpy, so I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer for a glassy finish.

Christine wore Moonlight Sonata matte-ified, and as it looked so gorgeous on her, I had to try it, too. For the satin matte effect, I used one coat of Essence Soft Touch topcoat.
