NYE

Of course I have my New Year's Eve (or Silvester, as it's called in german) mani to show you.

My base color is CrowToes Huginn & Muninn, a multichrome shimmer with blue, green and purple hues. It seemed quite sheer in the bottle, so I used one coat over a dark blue base (two coats of Essie Style Cartel).

For the stamping I used Barry M. Silver Foil and MoYou London Festive Collection plate 06. For the shiny finish, I used one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Crows Toes polishes are available at their own store (US only), Femme Fatale Cosmetics, Color4Nails.

Nail Crazies Unite: Fireworks

The last prompt of the Nail Crazies Unite (for this year at least) is fireworks, matching for the nearing New Year's Eve.

I started with two coats of Essence Black Is Back. For the stamping, I used Born Pretty Store Pink Planet stamping polish and MoYou London Festive Collection plate 05. I fixed the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and mattefied the mani using Picture Polish G'Day Matte.

Translucent

Christmas is over for this year, and like probably most of you, I've eaten way too much during the last couple of days. It's time for a healthier diet - and a new mani ;-)

This polish is Translucent by Cadillacquer. It has a teal jelly base (as usual, a little less blue than my pictures show) filled with silver/white translucent flakies. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Cadillacquer polishes are available at Hypnotic Polish and at Harlow & Co. If you live in Switzerland you can also order the polishes directly from Madeleine (Miss Cadillacquer herself) via Email on her Blog.

Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Here's what I'm wearing for the next couple of days.

As usual, I went with the classic red, green and gold. My red is aEngland Perceval, my green aEngland Tess d'Urbervilles. The glitter polish over the green fingers is Dollish Polish Fra-Gee-Lay... Must Be Italian, a clear based glitter topper with gold and green hexes, red bars and gold microglitter. For the Christmas trees I used Barry M. Gold Foil and Born Pretty Store plate BPL-032. I fixed the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top on all fingers.

aEngland polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

Dollish Polish are available at their store. But careful, if you're a geek like me, and tend to buy polishes because they're named after your favorite movie or TV show, this shop is seriously dangerous for your wallet...

Astral Realm

Let's start the week with some multichrome goodness.

The polish I used is Born Pretty Store Astral Realm of their multichrome magnetic colletion. It shifts from pink over gold to green. The bottle shot even shows some blue, but that wasn't visible on the nails. I used three coats, magnetized the third one and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. I don't know how, but this polish seemed to restract from my tipps after magentizing and drying, so the tipps became sonewhat translucent. Maybe it would have been better to use it over a dark base. Nail Crazies Unite: Ribbon/Bows

With Christmas coming closer in huge steps, the Nail Crazies Unite want to see ribbons ot bows for this week. The perfect time to use a gift wrap stamping pattern.

As base I used an old (ancient, really) Essence double polish set called Ticket To The Show. The base color is black with pink sparkles, three coats made it opaque. The topper, called Front Row Or Backstage? is a clear topper with lots of gold flakies amd some holo sparkles, I used it on my thumb, index and pinkie.

My gift wrap pattern is on the MoYou London Festive Collection plate 03, my stamping polish is my usual Barry M. Gold Foil. I secured the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and then added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top on all nails.

Big-City Snowflakes

A colleague at work has been asking me for a snowflake mani since october. Then it was too early for me, but now that winter is finally here, I couldn't let her wait any longer...

My base is Lucky 13 Big-City Dandy, a blackened jelly with blue flakie shimmer. The jelly base is very sheer, so I used four coats for a more or less opaque finish (plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top).

For the snowflakes, I used MoYou London Crystal Collection plate 04 and Kiko Mirror Lacquer 624 (Sky Blue). I added two topcoats, first Bundle Monster Smudge Free for protection, then KBShimmer Clearly On Top for faster drying and extra shine.

Lucky 13 Lacquer are available at their own shop and at Mei Mei's Signatures.
