When Colours Collide: purple, orange & white

Purple, orange and white are the colors for the latest round of this challenge. I'm not overly fond of this combo, so I went with a mostly white mani.

I used two coats of Essence Wild White Ways as a base and then used a double stamping pattern of Clear Jelly Stamper plate C-21, MoYou London Pumpkin and OPI Vant To Bite My Neck for the stripes. One coat of Maniology Smudge Free Top Coat sealed the stamping.

When Colours Collide: brown, beige & purple

I've been very lazy with blogging in the last couple of months, but with the new year, I try to do better. Let's start 2020 with the latest round of When Colours Collide.

I started with two coats of OPI Did You 'Ear About van Gogh?, a light beige creme. Then I sponged on a gradient using the OPI and Catrice Dulce & Havanna, a medium brown creme. My purple is MoYou London Purple House, the stamping plate I used is ÜberChic 15-03. I secured the stamping with one coat of Maniology Smudge Free Top Coat and added one coat of Essie Matte About You.

Metallic 4 Life

Do you love glitter? If you do, this one's for you.

OPI Metallic 4 Life has a black jelly base and lots of silver hex glitters in three sizes. I applied three coats and added one generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Mickey in Aragon

Let's start the week with some multichrome flakies.

As base I used three coats of OPI Here Today... Aragon Tomorrow, a very dark green creme. Then I dabbed on one coat of Colors By Llarowe Mickey, a clear based flakie topper shifting from blue over aqua to green, plus some tiny glitters that shift thgough the whole rainbow. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top was the finishing step.

Colors By Llarowe are available at their own store,  Hypnotic polish, Color4Nails, Harlow & Co and a lot of other retailers.

Funky Skyfall

Happy Easter (some days late)! I hope you found all your eggs, chocolate bunnies and whatever was hidden ;-)

For today's mani, I started with three coats of OPI Skyfall (James Bond Edition), a dark cherry red creme. The glitter topper is Essence Not Punky Nor Funky (Get Loud Limited Edition), a clear base filled with black, gold holographic and pink hexes, some gold holo bars and pink microglitter. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish.

Peace & Love & Silver

No green for today, surprise! ;-)

I started with three coats of Peace & Love & OPI (I don't have to tell you by which brand, right?). This shimmer polish is a deep purple, shifting to blue, pink and gold. At least it does in the bottle. On the nails, the colorshift wasn't really visible.

Barry M. Silver Foil is the polish I used for the stamping, and the plate is MoYou London Crystal Collection 02. One coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

I Threw My Pie For You

Let's start the week with a gorgeous indie polish.

This beauty is Dollish Polish I Threw My Pie For You, a purple jelly base filled with hex, square and dot glitter in various shades of purple, some of them holographic. Since the jelly base is very sheer, I layered it over a dark plum base (two coats of OPI Honk If You Love OPI). To smoothen the finish, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Dollish Polish are available at their store. But careful, if you're a geek like me, and tend to buy polishes because they're named after your favorite movie or TV show, this shop is seriously dangerous for your wallet...

Mayfield Navy

 It's time for some flakies!

I started with two coats of OPI Russian Navy, a midnight blue shimmer. On top of my base I dabbed one coat of ILNP Mayfield, a multichrome flakie topper showing blue, aqua, pink, purple and orange shades. Then I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

As I love matte flakies, I added one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte for a satin finish.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.
