52 Week Challenge - Dots / 3 Shades Of Purple

This year's last two themes of the 52 Week Challenge are dots and three shades of purple.

I started with three coats of Colors By Llarowe True Colors, a medium purple holo.

Then I added light (Catrice Plum Me Up Scotty, Luxury Lacquers Limited Edition) and dark (Color Club Wild At Heart) purple dots using dotting tools in two sizes. At last, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

A History Of Violets

Today I want to show you a polish that has been waiting with my untrieds for more than a year now: Jindie Nails A History Of Violets.

My base color is Essence I Got a Crush On Blue (Love Letters Trend Edition), a slightly blue leaning light grey creme. I used three thin coats for opacity.

Then I dabbed on one coat of A History Of Violets, a clear based glitter topper filled with glitters in white, soft pink and various shades of purple in different forms, dots, stars, squares, bars, hexes and shards, plus some iridescent and holographic microglitter.

My bottle of A History Of Violets is quite gritty, almost clumpy, but I think that's because of the age, some of the clear base seems to have evaporated. I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of KBShimmer Clealry On Top to smooth out the surface.

Jindie Nails polishes are available at their own store, at Rainbow Connection, Norway Nails and at Harlow&Co.

Christmas Mani

Happy holidays to all of you!

For my Christmas mani, I chose, as I do every year, a red/green/gold combo. The polishes I used for this ruffian mani are Barry M Gold Foil (gold metallic), Pahlish An Caisteal Ruadh (deep red with red and gold flakie shimmer) and Pahlish La Royale (deep fir green with green and gold microglitter), two coats each. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top marked the finishing point.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel, at Overall Beauty and at Llarowe. I bought mine at the Bigcartel shop.

A Box, Indied - Be Merry

The last of the december "A Box, Indied" polishes is Contrary Polish Be Merry.

Be Merry has a anthracite grey jelly base with green, magenta and silver microglitter. The jelly base is quite sheer but wearable with three coats.

The weather in Switzerland still says "november", so I added some snowflakes using China Glaze Adore and Born Pretty Store stamping plate QA58 for the Christmas feeling (most people here celebrate today, the 24th). As always, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a glossy finish.

Contrary Polish are available at Llarowe, Femme Fatale, Mei Mei's SignaturesNorway Nails and Rainbow Connection (UK only). Be Merry was exclusive to the december "A Box, Indied". The box with five indie polishes is available at Llarowe as a one month only box or as subscription (50$ per box).

52 Week Challenge - Distressed Nails / Grey

Right before Christmas, the 52 Week Challenge themes are anything but christmas-y: distressed nails and/or grey.

For this mani I used four greys plus black (from left to right: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Catrice ASHley, Catrice London's Weather Forecast, Essie Cashmere Bathrobe, aEngland Camelot) and just followed the tutorial by Chalkboard Nails. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

A Box, Indied - Cindy Lou Who

The new week starts with another polish of the december "A Box, Indied": Colors By Llarowe Cindy Lou Who.

Cindy Lou Who is a vivid magenta holo. I used two coats for the pictures.

After the base color was dry, I added one coat of aEngland Bridal Veil, a black holo, and dabbed some of the wet polish off with a ball of saran wrap. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Colors By Llarowe are available at Llarowe and at Harlow & Co. Cindy Lou Who was exclusive to the december "A Box, Indied". The box with five polishes is available at Llarowe as a one month only box or as subscription (50$ per box).
