Yps lackiert Challenge: Monochrom

Monochrome is the theme for the second round of the Yps Lackiert Challenge. If you follow my blog, then you know that I love monochromatic/ton-sur-ton stamping manis, so this was kind of a home game for me ;-)

My base is LynBDesigns Black Dragon Pearl, a grey leaning purple shimmer. I used three coats for opacity.

The cloud pattern is on the ÜberChic Far East 01 stamping plate, and as stamping polish I used a England Sleeping Palace. If you don't have this purple holo yet, you definitely need it. It looks gorgeous on it's own and as you can see, it stamps flawlessly. I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top, as usual.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Miau

Kitties are this week's challenge theme with the prompt meow. That gave me the perfect opportunity to test my new MoYou London stamping plate: Space Cats!

As base I used three coats of one of my "night sky in a bottle"-polishes, LynBDesigns Time And Relative Dimensions In Space. Then I stamped the space cats and stars using Barry M. Silver Foil and MoYou London Sci-Fi Collection plate 10. One coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearrly On Top finished the mani.

Shadow On The Moon 2.0

Who said shades of brown, copper and gold are exclusive to fall manis? It certainly wasn't me...

I started with three coats of Born Pretty Store Sunrise, a reddish brown creme.

On top of my base, I added one coat of Shadow On The Moon 2.0 by LynBDesigns, a polish with a very sheer red-brown base and lots of glitters, hexes in red and copper, gold tiny squares and hexes, black hexes and some holo sparkles. Then I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish. I really like the outcome, but honestly, I don't get these very sheer glitter polishes. They are too sheer to be worn alone, but they restrict you in terms of base polish, since the polish is still tinted. You have to choose a similar color as base, so it doesn't look "dirty". Why not use a clear base, or make the base buildable to opacity?

Lavender Flowers

For me, spring means mostly flowers and pastel colors. So here's a typical spring mani ;-)

My base polish is LynBDesigns Fa-La-La-La-La-La-La-Ven-Der, a lavender polish with a subtle holo shimmer. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used MoYou London After The Storm and Born Pretty Store plate BPS-L034. One coat of KBhimmer Clearly On Top secured the stamping.

My Bespoke Psychopath

My Bespoke Psychopath is the name of today's polish and it's by Lyn B. Designs.

My Bespoke Psychopath has a sheer purple jelly base filled with purple, red and silver hexes. Since the base is so sheer, I layered two coats over two coats of OPI Vant To Bite My Neck, a purple creme. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish. As usual, my camera "ate" most of the red hues and shows the polish way too blue...

Darwin

The weather has been really spring-like the last couple of days here in Switzerland, but I'm not ready yet to let the winter go... ;-) (and today it's back again, I can see the snow falling outside my window)

As base polish I used three coats of LynBDesigns Darwin, a midnight blue shimmer with tiny silver holo glitters.

Then I stamped some snowflakes using Kiko 623 Blu and MoYou London Festive Colelction plate 02. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - Bunt

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is multicolored.

I started with two coats of Lyn B. Designs Stardust, a brown shimmer with purple, golden and red reflexes. This one dries to a semi-matte finish.

My multicolored polish is Girly Bits Enabler, a multichrome flakie topper shifting from pink over orange and yellow to green. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave the mani a smooth finish.

I added one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte, because matte flakies = love!

Girly Bits polishes are available at her own store, Harlow & Co.Overall Beauty and Mei Mei's Signatures.
