Matte Flakies

Let's start the week with some multichrome flakies.

As base I used a deep red creme, Essie Carry On. The flakie topper is Nfu Oh 51 (don't you hate it when polishes don't have names, only numbers?). It looks mostly red in the bottle (that's why I chose the red base), but it also shifts over orange and green to blue, almost the whole rainbow. I haven't worn a matte mani in a while and I love matte flakies, so I added one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte over my usual topcoat (KBShimmer Clearly On Top).

Nail Crazies Unite: Sea Creatures

Sea creatures is this week's challenge theme. I live in a country without sea coast. I've been to the sea a couple of times (Mediterranean Sea, Atlantic, Pacific, Baltic Sea, North Sea. OK, I've seen quite a lot of seas, actually), but the only animals I've seen there are seagulls and seals. But I've seen a lot of sea animals in zoos or aquariums.

For this task, I chose a pond mani. I started with a blue Born Pretty Store stamping polish and stamped these sirenias from MoYou London Sailor Collection plate 05 (I first thought the pattern showed some fat fish, only after stamping I realised they are sirenias or something like that, a mammal in any case) with white Born Pretty Store stamping polish. Then I added two coats of the very sheer teal Nfu Oh jelly JS32. Another round of sirenias, two more coats of the Nfu Oh and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top, that's it.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Pond Mani

Pond Mani is this week's challenge theme, and here comes mine.

I kept it very simple, just alternating one coat of a lilac jelly polish (I used Nfu-Oh JS-13) and white stamped cherry blossom twigs (Born Pretty Store stamping polish and MoYou London plate Flower Power Collection 06), plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top as finishing move.

Nail Crazies Unite: Stamping With Flakie Polish Base

Another friday, another challenge theme: stamping with flakie polish base.

I started with three coats of L'Oréal Color Riche 608 Luxembourg Garden, a dove grey polish with green shimmer.

Then I added one coat of Nfu Oh 054, a clear based flakie topper with colorshifting flakies, from green to blue.

For the stamping I used Kiko Mirror Lacquer 625 (Emerald) and ÜberChic Lovely Leaves 02 plate. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Water

Water is this week's challenge theme, and I opted for a pond mani (since ponds contain water...).

For the mani I used Nfu Oh JS32, MoYou London White Knight and some fish and wave patterns using Sailor Collection plates 06 and 07, Bundle Monster plates BM-502 and BM-503 and Pueen plate 70. The mani contains four coats of the teal jelly plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Grey&Color

Grey & Color is this week's color prompt, and my personal pattern prompt is mosaic/stained glass.

The base color I used is H&M Wintersky, a grey based polish with duochrome shimmer shifting from green to pink. Wintersky reminds me of a nail polish version of MAC Vex. I know it looks more purple in the pictures, but it really is a grey base.

For the stained glass accent nails, I used three Nfu Oh jelly polishes (JS27, JS30, JS34) and Love, Angeline nail vinyls. One coat of Pahlish Magic Mirror Top Coat finished this mani.

Blue Jelly Sandwich

I haven't worn a jelly sandwich in quite some time, so I thought I should change that :-)

I started with two coats of Nfu Oh JS14 (Jelly Syrup Series), a sheer pastel lilac jelly. As you can see, with two coats it was still nowhere near wearable.

Then I added one coat of Orly Spazmatic (Flash Glam FX Collection), a clear base with royal blue hexes plus iridescent blue flakies.

I added another coat of the jelly, another glitter coat and one more coat of the jelly. As a last step, I added one coat of Rica Glossy Glam topcoat.
