Yps lackiert Challenge: Sternenglanz & When Colours Collide: holographic and black

Today I've got a "two birds with one stone" mani ( = two challenges with one mani) for you. Yps Lackiert asked for starshine for her last challenge theme, white the When Colours Collide prompt was holographic and black.

I started with two coats of Essence Black Is Back and stamped the stars using Color Club Harp On It and Pueen plate 44. One coat of Maniology Smudge Free Top Coat protected the stamping.

Silver Texas Tea

A blue and silver combo is more winter like, but who says you can't wear in in summer?

My base are three coats of Colors by Llarowe Black Gold Texas Tea. The name sounds like a black polish, it looks charcoal in the bottle, but on the nails, it's a navy blue linear holo.

For the stamping, I chose a flower pattern from ÜberChic plate 1-02 and the silver holo Color Club Harp On It. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

Colors By Llarowe are available at their own storeHypnotic polish, Color4Nails, Harlow & Co and a lot of other retailers.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Holo-Mania

Holo-Mania is this week's challenge theme. I really love holos, so yay!

I started with a white base (two coats of Essence Wild White Ways) and put on chevron nail vinyls when the base was completely dry. Then I added four purple holos, one in each section of the nail (Color Club Wild At Heart, Eternal Beauty and Cloud Nine, Colors by Llarowe True Colors). Then I just removed the vinyls and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top, done. The only thing that took a little patience was waiting for the base to dry completely. Other than that, this was a very easy mani.

Wild in Vegas

Another indie polish for today.

My base are three coats of Girly Bits What Happens In Vegas... Ends Up On Facebook, a mauve linear holo with some larger silver holo glitters and golden reflexes.

For the stamping, I used Color Club Wild At Heart, a dark purple holo, and Born Pretty Store stamping plate BP-L024. I fixed the stamping with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for extra shine.

Girly Bits polishes are available at her own store, Harlow & Co. and Mei Mei's Signatures.
What Happens In Vegas... Ends Up On Facebook was a limited edition back in 2013 (shame on me) and is no longer available.

Nail Crazies Unite: Superheroes/Villains

This week, the Nail Crazies Unite want to see superheroes or villains.  My favorite superhero is Batman, but actually, I'm more of a Marvel girl, so I went with my favorite Marvel hero, Wolverine.

The polishes I used are Color Club Revvvolution, Barry M. Silver Foil, Essie Brooch The Subject and Born Pretty Store white and red stamping polish. The mani includes clawmarks and Logan's white Zimmerli Tank Top (a Swiss brand, did you know that?). As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Voodoo You Do

Voodoo You Do is the name of today's polish.

Voodoo You Do by Color Club is a gunmetal grey shimmer with teal undertones. I applied three coats for opacity. For my accent nails, I used Essence Wild White Ways, silver Essence stamping polish and Voodoo You Do on my ÜberMat and transferred the polish with a stamper on my nails (over a base of one coat of Essence Wild White Ways). As usual, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: French With A Twist

French with a twist is this week's challenge theme. I'm not really into the "no-polish" look (that's why I've been wearing nail polish on a daily basis for the last 20 years...), so I went with a little more unusual colors with this one.

My base color is Color Club Snakeskin, a foil polish that looks somewhat green, gold or gunmetal grey, depending on the lighting. For the french tips I used Born Pretty Store black stamping polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-17. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

(In case you're wondering, the ink on my fingers is Robert Oster Fire And Ice, and yes, it's acetone resistant...)

Nail Crazies Unite: Blue, Silver & White Winter

Blue, white and silver are the perfect winter colors for me, and they are this week's challenge theme.

As base I used a blue and white marble design, using MoYou London and Essie Style Cartel with the same technique I used for this mani.

The silver holo polish I used is Color Club Harp On It, and for the very subtle snowflakes I used B. loves plates B.05 let it snow. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for protection and shine.
