Rainbow

I almost missed it, but june's not over yet, so it's still Pride Month. Here's my rainbow mani.

I've seen a mani like this (much better executed, though) somewhere in the internet and loved it so much, I decided to copy it. I forgot where it originated, so if you think I copied your mani, leave me a comment, so I can link you.

I started with a white base (two coats of Essence Wild White Ways) and added the rainbow two colors per nail with a nail art brush. My colors are (from left to right on my nails): red Born Pretty Store stamping polish, MoYou London Pumpkin, MoYou London Sweet Custard, green Bron Pretty Store stamping polish, blue Born Pretty Store stamping polish and MoYou London Purple Mouse. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave the mani some extra shine.

When Colours Collide: Neon

Neons were the prompt for the latest round for the When Colours Collide challenge. I really don't like neons, they clash horribly with my skin tone, but I do own some, just for challenges like this one...

My neon polish is MoYou London Crazy Citrus, a neon green creme. I'm usually perfectly happy with the formula of MoYou stamping polish, even for a full many, but sadly, this one disappointed me. The formula is quite chalky, dries to a rather matte finish (the picture shows it without topcoat) and it applies streaky. I used three coats for a more or less even finish, which is quite much for a stamping polish, since they're usually one-coaters...

Since I don't like neons, I usually tone them down with black, which luckily was allowed in this challenge. So I used a pattern from the ÜberChic Lovely Leaves 2 plate and black Born Pretty Store stamping polish for this monstera deliciosa (that's the latin name of this plant) look. Then I added one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top (note to self: if you add nail polish thinner to a smudge free top coat, it turns to a regular, rather smudgey top coat...).

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Doppelstamping

It's already the final round for the Frisch Lackiert Challenge with the theme double stamping.

As usual, I went for a tone in tone mani with muddy green shades. My base are two coats of MoYou London Olive Tree, a grey-ish light green creme (more sage than olive in my eyes...).

Then I doublestamped a pattern from the ÜberChic plate 1-01, first with white Born Pretty Store stamping polish, then with the dark olive green MoYou London Into The Woods. I finished with one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Glänzend & Matt

Today, Frisch Lackiert wants to see manis that combine shiny and matte.

For this kind of mani, I prefer to use two very similar colors, so the difference in finish pops a little more. My two polishes are from MoYou London and have almost the same name, Purple Mouse (creme) and Purple House (shimmer). I applied two coats of Purple Mouse as base and mattefied it with one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte. Then I stamped the flower pattern using Purple House and Born Pretty Store stamping plate BP-L085. No topcoat of course, since it would destroy the matte base and make it shiny again...

When Colours Collide: Nude & Gold

Nude and gold where the colors of the latest round of When Colours Collide.

I started with three coats of Essie Topless & Barefoot, a rose leaning nude creme. For the plaid stamping I used Über Chic Pretty In Plaid plate and L'Oréal Chrome Shine 343. One coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Color Blocking

Another round of the Frisch Lackiert Challenge, the prompt is color blocking.

I started with three coats of Born Pretty Store Flowing Clouds (Earth Tone Series), a white shimmer. When the base was completely dry, I sectioned off two triangles and added one coat of aEngland Perceval on one, and one coat of P2 So Cool on the other part. Then I added one coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat and one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte.

Chleo Rose

I really love bright, vivid manis, but sometimes I just need something more subtle, like this one.

As base I used three coats of ILNP Chleo, a nude scattered holo. For the flowers I used aEngland Briar Rose and MoYou London Flower Power Collection plate 06. One coat of Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

When Colours Collide: Black, White and Mint

I admit, this time I'm very very late with posting this mani. The deadline for this mani was sunday before last, I made the deadline but just didn't take the time to edit the pictures and write the post, but here it is...

With the prompt black, white and mint, I went for a dry marble. I started with one coat of Essence Wild White Ways and marbled on my ÜberMat using Essence Wild White Ways, Black Is Back and MoYou London Mint Condition. I transferred the polish on my nails using a stamper and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
