Jessie's Nails

Today I want to show you another one of my best friend Jessica's manis.

Last time I did this mani on my brothers girlfriend and I liked it a lot, so I had to have it too...

I started with one coat of essence xxl nail thickener. For having less to clean I prepared my nails with a white glue and let it dry

Then I took a sponge, made one part with essence wanna be your sunshine and one part with essence flashy pumpkin and ' sponged' on my nails

One coat of kbs shimmer would protect this first part.

For cleanup I removed the glue - perfectly fast!!

Now on to the tricky part: I added black (black is back by essence) leavy lines on the nail.
To complete it I gave a contrast with white lines and dots.

One coat of kbs shimmer finished this Mani

Jessie's Nails

My best friend Jessica sent me pictures of her new mani, so here's what she has to show you :-)

I wanted to try something a colleague showed me on instagramm by myglamnails.

First I applied one coat of essence nail xxl nail thickener, then I added 2 middle coats of essence prom-berry ( one thick coat would've done the job too, I think)

For the desired effect I wanted to try two different approaches

1. I added tape like shown in the picture and then added one medium coat of essence pink&proud

2. I applied two thin coats of essence pink&proud and added then with a thin brush two lines left and right and some diagonal lines over pink&proud with essence black is back

Which do you prefer?
I think with this dark colours the black is a bit 'lost' so I prefer the taped version.... but for sure the second version was much faster :-)

Jessica's Copper Nails

My best friend Jessica has a new mani to show us :-)

Recently I was in our Supermarket Outlet store and found this really geourgous copper polish from Smalto so I just had to use it!

I started as always with one coat of essence nail strenghtener as basecoat and then added 2 medium coats of Smalto nr 5. This copper almost made me stop there because it already looked so good.

But I had to add something - my first idea with a stamping was quickly dismissed - one, because I don't have this many plates so it gets boring to add the same stampings and - two none of this stamping seemed to be right.

My doting tool and essence no 164 crazy fancy love begged to be used, so I added some dots here and there and on my pinkie and thumb a small rhinestone from essence. For protection I finished with one coat of kbshimmer topcoat.

Jessica's Blue and White Nails

My best friend Jessica has a new mani to show us.

Today While my son slept I took the time to make a sponge/dot Mani :-) Sometimes I like to experiment...

I began with one coat essence nail xxl thickener. Then I added with a sponge essence 128 let's get lost and a little bit of essence 129 the boy next door.

After cleaning the mess around my nails I added as a finishing touch some lines and dots with my doting tool and covergirl 10 pure white.

On my pinkie and ringfinger I tried an liner-polish Stripe Rite - but In my opinion my thumb did come out best.

Jessica's Crackle Nails

Happy Easter! For today's Easter Sunday, I have a new guest post for you: My best friend Jessica has a new mani she wants to show you.

Hi there it's Jessica

I know it's quite some time since Aglaya posted my first mani here, but i had a lot of issues with my nails during winter - they broke and had fissures.

But now let's begin!

My father brought me some polish from Teneriffe for my Birthday in December. I already used this one on a normal white base but didn't make any photos. but since i liked it really I decided to do it again and shoot some pics this time around.

I started with two middle coats of Essence Sparkling water lily. Sorry forgot the Pic!

Then I added a thin coat of No 17 from Yes Love Crackle Effect. You have to work real fast, because it starts almost immediately to dry and crackle. If you happen to brush over the same section twice it destroys the effect and draws just lines - I think you see it best on my middle finger...

Jessica's Blue And Gold Nails

Today I have something new for you: I "hired" a guest blogger (well, I don't pay her, so you can't really call it hired, can you?). Meet Jessica, my real-life best friend!

Hi
I'm a good friend of Aglaya and as she started her blog I got hooked on Nail Polish. Before I would paint my nails perhaps 5 times a year… and the 4 polishes I got would become dry between the uses…

At first I just looked, because you know how it goes - me a working mom of 2 active boys should take the time to do something more than just the absolutely necessary? But this didn't last long :-)
Sometimes I send Aglaya some pics, if I think my nails look really good - and now she found I should write about them sometimes - cool right?

About this mani:

I used 2 coats of essence my fortune cookie, really tiny golden glitters and pretty sheer.
Then I took striping tape to add some pattern - I wanted to try some, that's the reason no nail is exactly like the other. (I like the ring finger most - what about you?)
I now added a thick coat of Smalto per unghie No 10 (this italian brand has just numbers no names) a really beautiful royal blue and removed quickly the striping tape.
