Groovy. is today's polish by Dollish Polish.











Groovy. has a sheer black jelly base filled with orange holographic hexes in three sizes and silver microglitter. I used three coats for opacity. Groovy. dried a little gritty, so I used two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth and glossy finish.

Nail Crazies Unite: Hippie/Boho

Hippie or Boho are this week's challenge themes. I googled for inspiration and found it with More Nail Polish.





I used the same polishes as I did with my rainbow mani four weeks ago, (over a white base, from red to purple) Essence Juicy Love, Max Factor Bright Orange, Catrice Earnie and Birdie, Catrice Dirty Liana (Glamazona Limited Edition), Catrice All I Can Blue and a OPI polish I forgot the name (the mini polish doesn't have a name tag on it). For the stamping I used White Knight and Bundle Monster plate BM-07. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - altrosa

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is old pink.

I had to improvise with this one, since I had no real old rose polishes in my untried (and very few already worn), I'm not 100% sure if ILNP Chleo can really be accepted as old pink. ILNP describes this polish as "a soft blush pink nail polish that features a gorgeously delicate holographic sparkle that is sure to steal your heart" (Source: ILNP). Chleo is quite sheer, the picture shows three coats plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.





For the stamping I used MoYou London Purple Mouse and Enchanted Collection plate 16. Another coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

The Blessed Metropolis

Today I have some multichrome flakies to show you.

My base color is aEngland The Blessed Damozel, a deep, vibrant purple shimmer polish. It has some blue undertones, but irl it's more purple and less blue than it looks in my pictures. I used two coats, with short nails, one might even be enough, it's quite well pigmented.





The flakie topper is ILNP Metropolis, with flakies shifting from blue over purple and pink to a greenish gold. Sadly it's quite photo-shy, showing mostly it's purple side on the pictures. But I can assure you, irl all the mentioned colors are there and clearly visible, depending on the egde you look at it. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Green Freestyle

The last day of march has come, and with it the challenge prompt green freestyle.





Freestyle means for me to do whatever I want, and since I haven't done a dry brush mani for ages, I went with this technique. The polishes I used are Essence In The Jungle and Essie Turquoise & Caicos and Stylenomics over a white base (two coats of MoYou London White Knight). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish and some extra shine.

Snow Over The Rhone

Blue for today, with Pahlish's Snow Over The Rhone.










Snow Over The Rhone is a royal blue holo polish with silver shard glitters. The silver is clearly visible in the bottle, but on the nails, all the shards sunk into the polish and looked the same blue as all the rest and stayed more or less invisible. I used three coats for opacity and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

My Whole Life Is A Dark Room

My Whole Life Is A Dark Room is the name of today's polish by Dollish Polish. It's named after a line of Winona Ryder's character Lydia in the 80ier horror comedy "Beetlejuice" (I love this movie).












My Whole Life Is A Dark Room has a sheer blackened purple jelly base filled with lots of purple, holographic and pink glitters in hex and square form. The polish is a little less blue than my pictures show. I used three coats and added two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.
