Golden Oldie Thursday - Day 9 - Skittle
It's thursday again, and today's Golden Oldie Thursday theme is Skittles
For my skittle mani I used three Essie cremes: Bobbing For Baubles (Cocktail Bling Collection, shown here) a dark navy with strong grey undertones, Cocktail Bling (Cocktail Bling Collection), a lilac toned grey and Blanc, a plain white. I used Bobbing For Baubles on my pinkie, Blanc on my middle finger and Cocktail Bling on my thumb, two coats each. On the other two fingers I used all three polishes together, in a water marble (over a base of Blanc) on my ring finger, and in a tape mani (over a base of Blanc as well) on my index finger. As always, I used one coat of Rica Glossy Glam topcoat as a finishing move.
Take a look at the other participants manis

Love that you've made it in to a greyscale manicure!
ReplyDeleteThank you Helena (to be honest, it wasn't really planned that way, I wanted to create a blue mani, but then I chose the two grey-leaning blues) :-)
DeleteThe color palette is really gorgeous. And so are the designs on your ring and index finger for that matter.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Melissa! It's only my second water marble, so I'll stick to accent nails for a while :-)
DeleteAbsolutely love this color combination and the two different nailart styles <3!
ReplyDeleteThank you Christine! I was actually wearing this one for three days, so you see, I liked it, too ;-)
DeleteThat Ringfinger *_________________* Sieht hammertoll aus!
ReplyDeleteVielen lieben Dank! Wenn das Water Marbeling nur nicht so eine Sauerei wäre ;-)
DeleteI admire anyone who can try watermarbling. It really tests my patience
ReplyDeleteThat's why I decided to marble only one nail, I don't think I have enough patience to do all of them... :-)
