Stormcage

Last week, we had thunderstorms almost every evening here in Switzerland, so Stormcage by Pahlish seems to be the perfect polish for this weather...

Stormcage has a very dark, almost black purple jelly base filled with flakie glitter in various shades of purple, from very light to almost blue. I used three coats and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Stormcage is no longer produced, but other Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Geometrie

Today's challenge theme is geometrics.

I started with three coats of Colors By Llarowe Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, a midnight blue jelly with silver holographic sparkles.

For the stamping I used Barry M. Silver Foil and MoYou London Holy Shapes Collection plate 05. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Dry or drag marble

Dry or drag marble is this week's theme for the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas. Uh oh... As much as I love any kind of marbeled manis, as bad am I in creating one. So suffer with me by looking at this one... ;-)

My base color is Pretty Serious Blue Gums On Boxing Day, a green jelly polish with blue shimmer. I used three coats. For the dry marble accent nails, I painted two lines of MoYou London Sage Smoke on my ring and middle finger (over a still wet generous coat of the base color) and dragged a striping brush upwards and downwards to mix both polishes. After some drying time, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Born Pretty Store Magnetic Multichrome

Born Pretty Store sent me this gorgeous magnetic multichrome polish for reviewing purposes, thank you so much!

This beauty is part of the 3D Magnetic Aurora Series and is called BP-MA02 Lightning. In its non-magnetized state it's a mutlichrome shimmer shifting from pink over gold to a grassy green. The reaction to the magnet is very strong, it needs only a second or two to show the effect, that turns it a little lighter where the magnet worked and darker on the other parts. Born Pretty Store recommends using it over a black base, I used three coats on it's own (the polish is rather sheer, so it wasn't completely opaque, bur wearable), plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

If you love this polish as much as I do, you can get it here for 6.99$. There are six different colors to choose from, and I'm surely going to get some more ;-)

The nail polish was offered for reviewing purposes. Again, thank you very much, Born Pretty Store!

Frisch Lackiert Challenge: Skittle Hoch Drei

Skittle to the power of three is this week's theme of the Frisch Lackiert Challenge, and it means that you should use at least three different colors for this mani and paint every nail differently. I used three different shades of blue for a summer feeling.

For this gradient stamping mani I used Essence Wild White Ways (two coats) as base, Born Pretty Store BP-L006 stamping plate, MoYou London Surf's Up and Beach House plus Born Pretty Store blue stamping polishes. For each nail I used two of the stamping polish, except for my ring finger, where I used all three. So I got a different color combo on each nail. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top sealed the stamping.

Nail Crazies Unite: Inspired By A TV Show

Inspired by a TV show is this week's challenge theme. If you follow my blog, you might know that I've been a Star Trek Fan for as long as I can remember. And since I own this awesome stamping plate with Klingon writing on it, Star Trek it is for this week.

I used a simple black creme as base (two coats of Essence Black Is Back), MoYou London Geek Collection plate 05 and Colour Alike/B. loves plates BLP25 (B. a Rudolph). For the matte finish I used Picture Polish G'Day Matte.

Gold Boulevard

 Some neutral colors for today.

I started with three coats of ILNP The Boulevard, a grey-ish taupe polish with intense gold shimmer.

For the stamping I used Barry M. Gold Foil and ÜberChic plate 1-01. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.
