Oceanic Forces

Remember my love for Emily de Molly Cosmic Forces? Today's polish is it's teal sibling. I was already in love when I saw the first swatch on some blog, and I knew I wanted to wear it for a special occasion, so I decided to make Oceanic Forces my birthday manicure.

Oceanic Forces has a deep teal jelly base packed with holographic glitters in multiple forms and sizes, including huge dots. The base is greener than my pictures show, as always, my camera just loves blue so much, it tends to show all teal and purple polishes too blue... (My funky skin color is the result of my attemps to show the polish more color accurate. Still not green enough, though). Oceanic Forces is extremely sparkly, my pictures don't really do it justice.

Like Cosmic Forces, Oceanic's formula is just great. It was opaque with two coats, I still added a third for even more depth. The big circle glitters were pretty stubborn, I had to fish them out of the bottle after a good shake, but once I had them on the brush, they were easy to place.

I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer for a smooth surface and spent the next two days staring at my nails :-) And as the weather played along, there are some sunshine pictures, too.

Emily de Molly polishes are available on Etsy (Australia only), at Llarowe, at Shoppe Eclectico, at Mei Mei's Signatures and at Norway Nails. I usually buy mine at Llarowe, but you have to follow them on Facebook to get the latest infos about the restocks and be fast, they sell out quickly.

    1. Thank you, Melissa! Maybe I can combine it and find a polish that looks like deep sea at night (it probably would look all black, though) :-)
