For today's mani I used a "pretty old" (summer 2012 I guess) polish from Darling Diva Polish's Battlestar Galactica series.
As base color I used Zoya Lotus (unlike other girls, I think of cars when I hear the name, not flowers...), a slightly grey-toned purple with a strong pink shimmer. I used three thin coats for opacity.
On top of Lotus, I dabbed one coat of Darling Diva Polish Resurrection. "This is full of super sized iridescent hex glitters as well as smaller iridescent hexes and squares in a shimmery pink base."

The bottle really looks like it's filled with the goo BSG's cylons resurrected of (or in)...
As you can see in my pictures, the iridescent glitters glow in various colors, green, blue, pink, yellow... Getting them on the nails was easy, only the biggest ones needed some fishing.
For a smooth finish, I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer.
Darling Diva Polishes can be found on Etsy, at Mei Mei Signatures and at Llarowe. The Battlestar Galactica Collection has been discontinued for a while, but there are a lot of other beauties to discover.
I'm loving this mani, the zoya polish is already gorgeous on its own! :)ReplyDelete
Thank you so much, Nati, I really love Lotus, too :-)Delete
The top coat is very subtle, but I like it.ReplyDelete
I'm glad you do, Melissa. It doesn't always have to be a colorful glitter bomb, even for me ;-)Delete
Die Grundfarbe gefällt mir sehr gut!ReplyDelete
Haha your titles always get my brain into spinning and playing around with words!!! I love your combination and I rather see this on your nails than on the car ;-P!!! And me too, I recognize more Lotus Car models than the various flowers ;-)!!! Thanks for reminding me of Lotus, I have to use my bottle again!!!ReplyDelete
Honestly, I don't think Lotus would look good on a Lotus :-) But it would look good on what I call "Husfroueouto", something small and handy. My dad actually once asked me for a bottle of nailpolish to fix a scratch on his Lotus... ;-)Delete
Your titles are so interesting :)ReplyDelete
Thank you :-) I just try to combine the names of the polishes in a (hopefully ) funny way.Delete
