St. George's Monster - Subtle Stamping

Today I have a subtle stamped mani to show you. The stamping is so subtle, I think nobody really saw it (besides me, of course) ;-)

My base color is Hare Polish The Monster (Halloween Collection), a dusky teal crelly base filled with black and green microglitter. The Monster is pretty sheer, I used four coats until I was content with the opacity.

On top of The Monster I added one coat of Cult Nails Wicked Fast. After the topcoat was dry, I stamped with a-England Saint George, a gorgeous dark teal holo. I will definitely show you this one on his own, it’s a stunning polish. As it is highly pigmented it works as a stamping polish as well.

The stamping plate I used is Messy Mansion m90. I normally don’t review stamping plates, but since they asked so nicely, I’ll make an exception ;-)

Messy Mansion is an Australian stamping plate brand. I seemed to be their first swiss customer, as they didn’t list Switzerland in their list of countrys they ship to. But after asking via email, the quickly added Switzerland. So if your country isn’t on the list, just ask to add it, and they promptly do.

Messy Mansion charge almost nothing for shipping (I paid 2$ for intercontinental shipping, the stamp on the envelope did cost more!) and the plates arrived after 9 days via airmail. Not bad for intercontinental shipping!

The patterns on the stamping plate are engraved almost too deeply, there’s still too much polish on the plate after scraping. I scraped twice each time, so it worked smoothly. On my ring finger and the tip of my thumb the image didn’t transfer completely, but as it worked well on the other fingers, I’d consider this an user error (I’m not too bad at stamping, but still far away from perfect). The images are big enough for „normal sized“ nails, a little bigger than Konad, but not as big as the DRK plates. If you have very long or very wide nails, they might be too small.

Messy mansion have a lot of gorgeous stamping plates for a reasonable price. They work as they should, as long as you do it the right way ;-)

The Monster was a limited Halloween polish, but you can get other Hare polishes on Etsy or at Llarowe.

A England polishes, including Saint George, are available on their website, at Overall BeautyMei Mei's SignaturesPshiiit and Llarowe.

    1. Vielen Dank! Eigentlich wollte ich The Monster ja alleine tragen, aber dann war er mir doch zu "eintönig".

    1. Thank you! I chose St. George in a "last minute" decision, I had already chosen some other polish, but I'm really glad I changed my mind ;-)
