Emerald Plumage

This mani is a copy of one I've seen ages ago (I think it was last summer or fall) on a blog, and I just can't remember where. As it is nothing special, just some simple layering, I hope the blogger won't be mad if I don't credit her (if you think it's your blogpost I copy, please comment, so I can still credit you).

As base color I used China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald (Vintage Vixen Collection), a blackened base with lots of teal shimmer. Formula was good, a little on the sheer side, I used three thin coats for opacity.

On top of Emerald Fitzgerald I dabbed one coat of Candeo Colors Plumage. "Plumage has a sheer base and is loaded with silver shimmer, green, turquoise and dark blue hex glitter. A liberal amount of seafoam square glitter is also included."
(Source: Candeo Colors)

Application was good, all glitters came out of the bottle willingly and lay flat on my nails. I added one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer for a smooth finish.

Then I added one coat of Essence Soft Touch topcoat to mattify it.

Candeo Colors polishes, including Plumage, are available through their own website. A few selected colors are also available through Llarowe.

    1. So do I :-) But I have to admit, I'm not that crazy about it anymore as I was last year. Last year I was all "OMG, this polish has square glitters, I NEED it!", this year I'm more about circle glitter. I wonder what shape it will be next year ;-)

  2. I prefer round glitter, but from afar I still like the effect!

    1. As I mentioned to Squeaky Q, I'm all into round/circle glitter too, but I still like the square one. But circles are awesome :-)

    1. Thank you so much, Christine! Of course you may credit me in your blogpost, I consider it an honour to be mentioned in a blog! I already wrote my blog post for Moonlight Sonata and mentioned you there, I hope that's OK for you, too (it's going online next week) :-)
