Lacke in Farbe und bunt - taupe

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is taupe.





My taupe polish is Lucky 13 Lacquer Accio Laquer, a grey leaning taupe with gold and copper flakies in it. I used three coats, but it still wasn't 100% opaque.








Then I added a almost invisible stamping (it was planned subtle, but not stealth like subtle...) using Catrice Reggaeton (Cucuba Limited Edition) and MJ stamping plate IX. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Live Long And Prosper

I've been a Trekkie for as long as I can remember, so of course I had to buy Dollish Polish's Live Long And Prosper, named after the iconic vulkan greeting, often uttered by my all time favorite character Mr. Spock, played by the late (and sadly missed) Leonard Nimoy.












Live Long And Prosper has a sky blue shimmer base, filled with gold, blue and black hexes in two sizes and some little black stars. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Beach or Animal Silhouettes

 

This week there are two themes to chose from for the nail art challenge: beach or animal silhouettes. Since there will be another beach themed challenge mani for the end of july, I went with animal silhouettes for this week.





For the background of my "african sunset" mani, I sponged a gradient using MoYou London Sweet Custard, Autumn Harvest and Rusty Red. For the stamping I used MoYou London Black Knight and Bundle Monster plate BM-XK204(in collaboration with Beaching Nails). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

You'll Shoot Yer Eye Out, George Blueney

Blue and white are the colors for today's mani.





My base color is Catrice George Blueney, a navy blue shimmer. I used two medium coats for opacity.





The glitter topper is called You'll Shoot Yer Eye Out, Kid, by Dollish Polish. It has lots of blue iridescent hexes and squares plus some white hexes in a white base. I used cone coat and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Stars N' Stripes

I'm a day early with this mani, dedicated to my american readers. Happy 4th of july to all of you!





I used Kiko Sun Show 475 (Turquoise), a vivid medium blue flakie shimmer with a subtle color shift to turquoise. I used three coats for opacity. On my ring finger I used two coats of my favorite red shimmer, aEngland Perceval.


 





The stars are stamped with MoYou London White Knight and Bundle Monster plate BM-706, the stripes with the same polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-301. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave the mani some extra shine.

Nail Crazies Unite: Neon

Neon is this week's challenge theme. I don't really like neon colors, and I don't own any true neon polishes anymore, so I had to go with my most vivid polish instead.





As base color I used Essence Va-Va-Voom, a coral creme that dries to a semi-matte finish. Using the DRK-B stamping plate and MoYou London White Night, I created this hibiscus flowers aloha-shirt-like pattern. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On  Top finished this mani.

My white polish is The Polish Well Roses And Blood, a milky white jelly with small pink glitters and glass fleck shimmer. I used three coats for this still somewhat translucent look.








For the stamping I used L'Oréal Chrome Shine 347 and Bundle Monster plate BM-XL206 (in collaboration with Nailstamp4fun). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.
