Sandy Palace

Fruits seem to have been on my mind for this peach and plum mani ;-)

I started with three coats of ILNP Sandy Baby. This polish is described by ILNP as "Sandy Baby is a subtle and sophisticated peach beige jelly that is extremely versatile, super holographic and builds beautifully!". Sandy Baby is very sheer and still somewhat translucent with three coats.

For the stamping I used aEngland Sleepeing Palace, a plum colored holo, and Bundle Monster plate BM-XL206 (in cooperation with Nailstamp4fun). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

aEngland polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy and at their own shop.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Pink & Lilac / Skittles

Pink and lilac are this week's challenge colors and my personal pattern prompt is skittles.

Since skittles just means polishing every nail differently, I went with a simple sponged gradient, turning the sponge 90° for each nail. The lilac polish is Kiko Mirror Lacquer 621 (Violet), the pink is L'Oréal Chrome Shine 347 (I guess this one is older than some of my readers, I bought it in the last Millenium... But it still works, as you can see). As usual, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave some extra shine.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - Taupe

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is taupe.

While I very often wear colorful polishes, I really adore my neutrals. This one is Catrice Steel My Soul, a slightly purple leaning taupe with golden flecks, that dries to a semi-matte finish. I wore three coats for the pictures (and no topcoat, and of course I smashed my index finger against the table when the polish wasn't dry yet...).

The leave pattern I stamped with Catrice Smooth Chocolate and Lily Anna plate 02. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Bishop (H)

Once again, I have one of the gorgoues ILNP Multichromes to show you: the holo version of Bishop.

"Bishop (H) is a uniquely regal Ultra Chrome that shifts from a refined gold to a light olive-green. You may even notice subtle hints of greyish blue in the right lighting conditions." (Source: ILNP) I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used P2 Eternal and MoYou London Tropical Collection plate 14. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy and at their own shop.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Kids TV

Kids TV ist today's theme for the 40 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge, and I chose a TV show I loved to watch as a kid: Calimero.

The polishes I used are P2 Eternal (black), Essence Stamping Polish (white), Catrice Ernie & Birdy (yellow), Max Factor Bright Orange (explains itself, right?), Manhattan Palm Leaf (green) and OPI Dating A Royal (blue). As always, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Pahlish March 2016 Duo - Merlin's Song

Today I want to show you the march 2016 monthly polish duo by Pahlish.

The base color is called Loftiest Muse, and it's described by Pahlish as "Minty Tiffany blue creme". It was a little bitchy to apply, though. Like lots of pastel polishes, this one applied quite streaky, as you can see on my ring finger. I used three coats for the picture.

The glitter topper is Wild Air: a Clear topper of aqua and mint glitter with green shimmer and silver metallic flakes (Source: Pahlish). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth and glossy finish.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.

Leaf Of Faith

Leaf of Faith is today's polish, and it's by KBShimmer.

"A deep Cabernet red jelly is the backdrop for glitters in red, orange and gold.  The glitters in this polish add depth and interest with subtle changes in color as the jelly picks up the colors of the glitter. A scattering of holographic glitters gives this polish sparkle and shine." (Source: KBShimmer)

I used three coats of Leaf of Faith and added one generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

KBShimmer polishes are sold on their website (US only) and at Harlow & Co.
