Highline

One of my favorite Indie brands, ILNP, brought out a new collection, and of course I had to buy some bottles. Here's Highline, a new Ultrachrome.

"Highline is an all-star Ultra Chrome™ with a gloriously intense shift from pale gold, to deep bronze, to vibrant green. An absolute beauty to behold with an incredible array of vintage hues that will take your breath away!" (Source: ILNP). I realised that ILNP didn't tell everything about their polish: it's not only gold, bronze and green, but also pink and blue! My camera could't even catch all the colors in one picture. As usual with the ILNP Ultrachromes, to formula was very easy to work with, the polish was opaque with three thin coats.

For the stamping I used P2 Eternal and Moyra stamping plate 03 - Ornaments. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

I wore this mani for my holidays in Greece, and since we had to stay longer than expected (air security strike), I wore it for a total of 11 days with only minor tipwear and one small chip on my left index! I really love ILNP polishes, not only for their gorgeous colors,, but also for their "long life". The picture below shows it on day 8 (with the Aegean Sea in the background).

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy and at their own shop.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas - blue and silver

It's time for a new challenge! Today it's the first week of the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge, and a lot of people are going to post our challenge mani every other week. This week's task is to create a blue and silver mani.

My base color is P2 Illustrious Opal (Secret Splendour LE) a very dark midnight blue shimmer with glassfleks in it. It's very pigmented, almost a one coater, but I still used two coats to even out some less than perfect patches.

For the stamping I used Barry M. Silver Foil and Über Chic plate 1-01. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - lila

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is lilac/purple.

The polish I chose for this task is KBShimmer Brrr-tiful Dreamer from their Winter 2015 collection. It has a dusky purple crelly base filled with hex glitters in grey, aqua, purple and pink. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

KBShimmer polishes are sold on their website (US only) and at Harlow & Co.

Monte d'Or

Another Pahlish polish for today, I sure hope you're not yet bored by them...

Monte d'Or is a greige polish with strong lilac undertones and golden and pink flakie shimmer. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used L'Oréal Chrome Shine 347 and Moyra stamping plate 03 Ornaments. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave this mani some extra shine.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.

Jawsome

Taupe and blue are today's colors.

My base color is Pahlish Jawsome, a deep, almost chocolate-y purple leaning taupe polish with intense  blue shimmer. I used three coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used MoYou London Stamping Polish Beach House, a light blue creme, and Moyra stamping plate 03 (Ornaments). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - Silber

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is silver.

I have to admit, my base color, Essence Glamour Girls (Metal Glam Trend Edition), isn't a true silver, but more of a white gold metallic. But it looks quite silver-y, depending on the light. I used two medium coats.

The stamping is made using P2 Eternal and MoYou London Illusion Collection plate 09. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Pahlish Mystery Shade

Today I want to show you one of Pahlish's Mystery Shades. These are polishes that are produced only once, one single batch. I guess that happens whenn Shannon wants to try out something new that doesn't convince her 100%...

This Mystery Shade has a dark forest green jelly base filled with hex, dot and square glitters, most of them silver, some lime and some holographic, plus some flakie shimmer. The base is surprisingly opaque, I only used two coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.
