The Night Is Dark And Full Of Terrors

I haven't shown you any indie polishes yet this week, so it's time to change that with this lovely Cadillacquer shade.





My base color is Cadillacquer The Night Is Dark And Full Of Terrors (Game of Thrones collection), a royal blue jelly with small light blue glitters. I used three coats, but two would have been enough.





For the stamping I used Kiko Mirror 624 Sky Blue and Bundle Monster plate BM-716. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top added some extra shine to the mani.

Fall Is Coming

Today's mani is kind of the opposite of the one I showed you on monday.





This time I didn't use OPI Miur Miur On The Wall as a stamping polish, but as the base polish. I used three coats of this gorgeous marroon shimmer for opacity.







For the stamping I used China Glaze Poetic, a rose gold metallic, and Bundle Monster plate BM-702 for this autumnal look. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave some extra gloss.

52 Week Challenge - Watercolour / Most precious Polish

Watercolor and most precious polish are this week's themes.





My base color is Estée Lauder Black Wine. I can't tell you how old it is, but I know it must be ancient, it was a gift from my Nonna, my grandmother who passed aways in 2004 (that's why I chose this one as one of my most precious polishes).

For the watercolor accent nails I followed this tutorial using Black Wine, Essie Carry On and OPI My Very First Knockwurst over a white base (two coats of Essie Blanc). One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Ingenue Muir

After two months of hot, sunny weather, fall has definetely come to central Europe, so it's time to take out the fall colors :-)





I started with three coats of Orly Ingenue, a foil polish shifting from purple to gold, giving it a pink overall look.








For the (very subtle) stamping I used OPI Muir Muir On The Wall and Bundle Monster plate BM-607. As always I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

The Owls Are Not What They Seem

The Owls Are Not What They Seem is the name of today's polish, and it was part of Hare Polish's winter 2013 Twin Peaks collection.

I used three coats for opacity and added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a glayys finish.

My Birthday Nails: Dragon

My birthday was last weekend, and here's what I was wearing: these dragon water decals by Born Pretty Store.





I applied the decals over a white base, two coats of Essie Blanc. The dragon's body is not white but transparent, so a light base is mandatory. Application of the decals was quite easy: just remove the transparent protection foil, soak the decals in warm water for 20-30 seconds, remove the white sheet underneath and place them on your wet nails. It's really important to wet your nails with water, if you don't, you'll probably tear the decals. You can move the decals around on your wet nails until you're happy with the placement. Then dab the water off with some tissue and add topcoat. Since the decals are rectangular and my nails aren't, I folded the excess over me free edge and filed it off after the topcoat was dry. The edges on my cuticles I could remove with acetone.

There are four different dragon pattern to choose from, one set contains 10 decals, enough for one full mani. You can get the decals here for 2.86$.

52 Week Challenge - Water Spotting or Marbling / Purple, Red and Aqua

Water spotting or marbling and purple, red and aqua are this week's challenge themes.





I started by applying three coats of Takko Lacquers Jabberwocky, a lovely aqua polish with green/copper douchrome shimmer. For the water marble I used Jabberwocky, Catrice Purple Reign and Catrice ARTful Red. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.
