Bevin Is A College Hero

No indie polishes, but a new attempt for a glitter gradient today.

I started with three thin coats of Zoya Bevin, a murky sage green creme. I just love this kind of slightly dusty colors.

Then I added a gradient (or at least something like a gradient) using Essence College Hero (Class Of 2013 Collection), a clear base with silver hexes in two sizes. As you can see, this polish was extremely bubbly (was it the heat? I didn't shake it before application), but somehow the bubbles just add to the gradient, if you don't look too closely, they mighty be some additional glitters ;-)

After I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri to smooth the surface, I finished with one coat of Essence Soft Touch topcoat for a matte finish.

  1. You are into matte glitter right now, aren't you??? Bevin was my favorite from last years Zoya spring collection (it is from 2012, right) and I love your glitter sprinkle, very nicely done!!! I think you did excellently :-)

    1. Thank you so much, Christine! Oh yes, I'm all into matte at the moment (as long it's matte and not math ;-) ) I did a quick Google search as I didn't know it, but of course you're right, Bevin's from the 2012 spring collection.

    1. Thank you so much! I'm not really into neon, so these dusty colors are my perfect summer colors, too :-)

    1. Thank you so much! To be honest, I'm not really that creative, I just read a lot of nail blogs and let them inspire me ;-)
