26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Blobbicure

Today's the last prompt of the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas (at least for this round, I sure hope there's going to be another one), and it's blobbicure.

My base color is Dollish Polish Walker Bait 163, a very dark, almost black murky green linear holo with a golden sheen. I used two coats on my accent nails, three on the ones where I'm wearing it on it's own.

For the blobs I used Girly Bits Giggity Giggity Goo, a silver linear holo with pink undertones. I applied it directly with the bottle brush on the fresh second coat of my base. For a blobbicure, you need to work fast and one nail at a time, if the base is only slightly dried, the blobs won't spread. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave the mani some extra shine.

Dollish Polish are available at their store. But careful, if you're a geek like me, and tend to buy polishes because they're named after your favorite movie or TV show, this shop is seriously dangerous for your wallet...

Girly Bits polishes are available at her own store, Harlow & Co. and Mei Mei's Signatures.

Wicked Leaves

I ordered some new ÜberChic stamping plates, and of course, I had to try them immediatley.

As base I used three coats of Enchanted Polish Wicked, a linear holo with a subtle color shift from an pinky-red to grass green.

For the stamping, I used Barry M. Gold Foil and ÜberChic Lovely Leaves 3 plate. I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Enchanted Polish are available at Pshiiit and their own shop.

Nail Crazies Unite: Food/Drink

Food or drink is what the Nail Crazies Unite want to see this week. I chose beer, but I don't even drink it, I don't like the taste ;-)

The golden polish is aEngland And The Moonbeams... It has a clear base filled with small glitter particles and needs four coats for the look I achieved. For the foam, I applied some white Born Pretty Store stamping polish with a make up sponge. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

aEngland polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

The Dark Defender

Today's polish is Cadillacquer's The Dark Defender.

The Dark Defender has a sheer teal jelly base with blue, purple and green flakie glitters. I used four coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. SInce the jelly base is very sheer, I'd recommend undies in a similar color, if you're headed for a completely opaque finish.

Cadillacquer polishes are available at Hypnotic Polish and at Harlow & Co. If you live in Switzerland you can also order the polishes directly from Madeleine (Miss Cadillacquer herself) via Email on her Blog.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Fire And/Or Ice

Fire and/or ice are this week's challenge theme. I couldn't decide, so I went with the "and" option ;-)

I started with two coats of Essie Black Is Back. The stamping plate is DRK-B. For the fiery flames I used a light yellow Born Pretty Store stamping polish, MoYo London Sweet Custard and Autumn Harvest. The icy flames where stamped with white Born Pretty Store stamping polish, Barry M. Silver Foil and Kiko Mirror Lacquer 624 Sky Blue. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping.

Wood You Want A Manor House?

After monday's colorful flakies, I have something more subtle for today.

My base is ILNP Manor House, a light taupe jelly with scattered holo particles. This one is very sheer, so I applied four coats.

For the stamping, I used China Glaze Wood You Wanna?, a warm brown metallic, and ÜberChic Lovely Leaves 2 plate. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

Atlantis Cocktail

Let's start the week with some flakies, shall we?

I started with three thin coats of Essie Cocktail Bling, a light grey/blue/lilac creme. On top of Cocktail Bling, I dabbed some ILNP Atlantis. "Atlantis is breathtaking. This beautiful Ultra Chrome Flakie magically travels through hues of blue, orange, purple, and red. The colors are so vibrant they almost appear as if they're glowing. A personal favorite!" (Source: ILNP) I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

Nail Crazies Unite: Inspired By Fall Fashion

The Nail Crazies Unite want to see manis inspired by fall fashion. I have to admit, I don't really like today's fashion, and I never really liked Haute Couture, so I chose what I like to wear during fall time: cozy sweaters and cardigans...

For this mani I chose two MoYou London stamping polishes, After The Storm as base and Purple Mouse for the pattern. The stamping plate was MoYou London Fashionista Collection 02. For the matte finish, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top first, to protect the stamping, and then one coat of Picture Polish G'Day Matte.
