Nail Crazies Unite: Ugly Sweater

This week's challenge theme is ugly sweater. Ugly Christmas sweaters aren't really a thing here in Switzerland, but I still did what I could ;-) (OK, I admit, I screwed up every single nail but my pinkie, but well, I never claimed I was perfect, right?)

For this mani I used Essence Juicy Love (red), MoYou London Kiss The Frog (green) and P2 So Innocent (white), ÜberChic stamping plate Christmas-01 and my favorite topcoat KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - gold

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is gold.

My gold polish is Enchanted Polish Austin Powers. It's a sheer golden holo with tiny red glitters. It is really sheer, but the holo effect combined with the short nubbins I'm sporting at the moment (carrying dozens of Christmas presents through half the country killed my index nail...) made it wearable with three coats.

Then I stamped with P2 Eternal and MoYou London Holy Shapes Collection plate 04. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

My Christmas Mani

This is what I wore on my nails for Christmas this year.

This deep red polish with golden flakies is Dior Midnight. I used three coats for opacity. For the accent nails, I used Twinkled T nail vinyls (I thought they look a little like Christmas trees, they do have holiday tree vinyls, though) and OPI GoldenEye, a clear based polish woth lots and lots of golden flakies. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Born Pretty Store Chameleon Polish #33

Merry Christmas to everyone who is celebrating (and a happy saturday to all who are not)! Today I want to show you this lovely polish Born Pretty Store sent me. Thank you so much, Born Pretty Store!

Born Pretty Store call this one a chameleon polish, and it has the number 33. There are green hex glitters in two sizes, placed in a sheer multichrome base, shifting from purple over navy blue to green. Born Pretty Store recommends to apply it over black, and that's what I did (one genreous coat of P2 Eternal, plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top over the finished mani). With only one coat, the color shift is clearly visible, but very hard to catch with the camera. If you want to get this beauty, you can order it here for 7.99$ for a 6ml bottle.

The nail polish was offered for reviewing purposes. Again, thank you very much, Born Pretty Store!

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Pastel Christmas

It's time for the next challenge mani. For this weekl, of course the theme is Christmas, but a pastel one...

I went for a simple stamped mani using Essie Mint Candy Apple as base (three coats) and MoYou London Chill Out, After The Storm, Winter Green, Beach House and Skin Silk (from left to right in the bottle shot) as stamping polishes. The stamping plates I used were ÜberChic Christmas-01 and MoYou London Festive Collection 03. As usual, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
