Nail Crazies Unite: Blue, Silver & White Winter

Blue, white and silver are the perfect winter colors for me, and they are this week's challenge theme.

As base I used a blue and white marble design, using MoYou London and Essie Style Cartel with the same technique I used for this mani.

The silver holo polish I used is Color Club Harp On It, and for the very subtle snowflakes I used B. loves plates B.05 let it snow. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for protection and shine.

My Christmas Mani

Happy holidays and merry Christmas, if you celebrate! Here's what I'm wearing at the moment.

My base color is ILNP Lights Out, a black jelly base with little glitters shifting from red to gold and green, giving the polish a brownish-red look. I used three coats for opacity.

Then I stamped these lovely Christmas trees using Barry M. Gold Foil and Born Pretty Store stamping plate BPL-032. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top gave the mani some extra shine.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Christmas Childhood Memories

Christmas is very near, and thus this week's challenge theme is Christmas childhood memories.

In Switzerland, Christmas celebrations start on december 24th. We always celebrated the 24th at home (still do at my parents home) and the 25th at my grandparents (they passed away a couple of years ago). When I was a child, my grandparents had this big house and the Christmas tree was in the huge living room. The doors to the living room were closed when we arrived, and we had to wait until they rang a silver bell to show that Christ Child had arrived with the presents (here it's not Santa who brings the presents, but baby Jesus). Then we could open the door, admire the tree and open our presents. So my nails show the tree, the bell, Christ Child and a present.

My base color is aEngland Virgin Queen, for the stampings I used MoYou London Black Knight, White Knight, Café Au Lait and It's A Date, Barry M. Silver Foil, Born Pretty Store Stamping polish no. 5 and 343, Born Pretty Store stamping plate BPL-032, MoYou London stamping plates Festive Collection 03 and Artist Collection 10 (and of course KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat).

Blue Snowflakes

Some snowflakes for today.

I started with three coats of Darling Diva Crabsody In Blue, a black jelly polish filled with tiny royal blue glitters.

For the snowflakes I used Born Pretty Store stamping plate BPL-032 and Kiko Mirror Lacquer 623 (Blue). I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for protection and extra shine.

Darling Diva polishes are available at their own store.

Rule #4 Seatbelts

This polish with the somewhat weird name is part of an old Dollish Polish collection that explains how to survive a horror movie.

Rule #4 Seatbelts has a dark teal jelly base with small hex glitters in various colors. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Dollish Polish are available at their store. But careful, if you're a geek like me, and tend to buy polishes because they're named after your favorite movie or TV show, this shop is seriously dangerous for your wallet...

Nail Crazies Unite: Holiday

This week's challenge theme is Holiday. Since we were told to choose any december holiday, and I didn't want to do the same as everybode else, I chose a day that's just special for my family, and nobody else. My dad turned 70 last week, so this holiday mani is about my dad's birthday.

I started with two coats of MoYou London After The Storm. For the stamping I used MoYou London Black Knight, Kiss The Frog, Café Au Lait, Born Pretty Store stamping polish No.5, ÜberChic Christmas-01 and Bundle Monster BM-H19, BM-H20 and BM-702 (just for the 70 in the plate number...) plates. As usual, I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

For the stamping I used B. loves plates B.05 let it snow and Barry M. Silver Foil. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Oceania

My base color is Manhattan 36L, a duochrome shimmer shifting from light blue to aqua. I used three coats for the pictures. Something didn't seem to be right with this polish, in tthe pictures with the topper you can see, that it just melted away under the other polish, producing these weird wrinkles on my nails...

The glitter topper is Candeo Oceania, a clear base filled with white, grey and aqua hexes. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Candeo polishes don't seem to be produced anymore.
