ARTful Gold Leaf

For the end of november, a color combo that probably is about four weeks early: red and gold.

Both polishes I used for this mani are by the german brand Catrice. The base color is called ARTful Red and was part of the ViennART collection (here in Switzerland this limited edition is still available). The polish isn't a true red, but  a raspberry leaning rosewood color with intense golden flakie shimmer. I used two coats for opacity.

For the glitter gradient I used a glitter topcoat called Gold Leaf (SpectaculART Collection), but the name doesn't really describe the polish. It's not a gold leaf topcoat like OPI's The Man With The Golden Gun, but a clear polish with gold and silver hex glitter. On to of the gradient I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

I love this technique, as it shows both the base color and the glitter topper :-)
