Anthracite Pirouette

Today's mani has a little wintery look, but we had a lot of grey and rainy days this summer... ;-)

As base color I used an unnamed polish by ELF, an anthracite grey creme with tiny silver holographic glitters. As you can see, this polish dries pretty rough, but it's not meant as a textured polish. I used two medium coats for opacity.

Then I added one coat of OPI Pirouette My Whistle (New York City Ballet collection) a clear based glitter topper with silver holographic migroglitter and medium white hexes.

I didn't have any issues applying Pirouette My Whistle. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

  1. Rainy? You could say that ;-P!!! Luckily no flooding in the area I live so far... I have observed this kind of grittiness in this sort of polish with several brands - the topper you choose covered up those grains perfectly though.... <3

    1. That was exactly my intention ;-)
No flooding here either, luckily. I hope, the worst is over now, I'm longing for a whole week of summer (or even better, a whole month)

  2. I was in Zermatt this weekend, and seriously, it felt like winter! So this mani doesn't feel out of place to me at all :-) It looks stunning.

    1. I have to admit, even though I was born in CH and spent my whole live in this country, I've never been to Zermatt. As a kid, my family and I went to Saas Fee, and I think this is a kind of either/or thing ;-)
