40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Insects

Insects are this week's challenge theme. I'm not really into insects in general, but of course I do like butterflies, who doesn't?! So I went with some butterfly wings on my nails.

I started with three coats of Essie Pool Side Service, a muted, blue leaning teal creme.

On top of Pool Side Service I added two coats of Picture Polish Aurora, a sheer multichrome polish with some glitters in it, shifting from teal over blue, purple and pink to gold. It was nearly impossible to catch all the colors with my camera, you just have to believe me they're there.

Then I stamped the butterfly wind pattern using MoYou London Pro Collection plate 05 and P2 Eternal. Then I added some white dots using a dotting tool and Essie Blanc plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Picture Polish are available at  Harlow & Co., Pshiiit and their own shop (plus many more, here's a list of additional retailers).
