Catch A Wave On Maximilianstrasse

As base color I used two coats of Essie Maximilianstrasse Her (Madison Ave-hue Collection), a pastel green creme with strong grey untertones. No issues with application to report.

Then I added one dabbed coat of Elevation Polish Catch A Wave (one of the few Eleveation polishes not named after a mountain), a clear base with various sized dots in different shades of aqua, silver and turquoise, plus iridescent hexes in two sizes.

Catch A Wave was less glitter-packed than I expected, so I used a lot of polish until I was happy with the amount of glitter on my nails, which ended in the glitters sliding to the sides of my nails due to too much base (you can see it best on my middle finger), and a very long drying time, even though I used a quick drying topcoat (Rica Glossy Glam). And in the end, I found out I liked the nails with a little less glitter (like my pinkie) better than the ones with lots of them. Well, I think I've learned my lesson for next time :-)

Elevation Polish are available at their own store and at Llarowe.

  1. I love this color combination - am actually wearing similar ones since Thursday!!! I am with you, I like the pinkie with sparse glitter best!

    1. Yes, I've seen it on your Hair Stylist IG picture, perfect color for spring. And the next time I'll wear Catch A Wave, I'll sure use it in a thinner coat :-)

    1. Thank you! You can always catch me with circle glitter and all shades of blue, so I totally agree with you concerning Catch A Wave :-)
