A Box, Indied - No Tricks, Just Treats
Today I have the third polish of the october "A Box, Indied" to show you: Lacquerlicious No Tricks, Just Treats!
As base color I used Catrice Vanilla Love, a light pastel vanilla yellow with a shimmer so subtle I couldn't quite capture it. Sadly, the formula was pretty poor. What you see below is four coats, and it was still patchy and not 100% opaque, and it took a long time to dry (that's why I dented my index finger, as you can see).
On top of Vanilla Love I dabbed one coat of Lacquerlicious No Tricks, Just Treats. I'm pretty sure Michelle, the creator of Lacquerlicious, just threw ever glitter she had around in a clear base to create this polish :-) It contains hexes, bars, squares, dots, stars, half moons and shard glitters in various sizes from tiny to medium, in every color imaginable, shiny, matte and holo.
The polish is so packed with glitters, it's really thick, but application is still easy and it spreads nicely over the nail. In spite of the huge amount of glitters, it doesn't dry too gritty, so I only added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat for a smooth and glossy finish.
Lacquerlicious polishes are sold on Etsy (US and Canada only) and BeautySoFly. No Tricks, Just Treats is exclusive to the october "A Box, Indied". The box with five polishes is available at Llarowe as a one month only box or as subscription (50$ per box).

Such a happy candy sweet mani, love it :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd say "happy" is the perfect despcription for this one :-)
DeleteI agree with Melissa - such a happy glitter and I particularly like that you combined it with the soft yellow (bummer about the crappy formula)!!!
ReplyDeleteIt took me quite some time to decide which polish I want to use as base, and I'm very glad you like my choice. I guess pastels with a great formula are pretty hard to create, at least I don't know many of them...
DeleteThis is such a cute glitter! I love the combination you did.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa, I'm glad you do :-)
