Undenied (H) Inverse Flowers

Today's my birthday, and for this occasion I wanted to show you a mani I really loved. I "stole" this idea from Nagellack 2.0 and Jahreszeitenhaus.


 


My base color is the holo version of ILoveNailPolish Undenied, a multichrome shifting from eggplant over plum and bordeaux to a copper-y orange. As always with ILNP polishes, application was a pleasure, the pictures show three thin coats.

Then I used  MoYou Pro Collection plate 14 and black Essence stamping polish to add this inverse / negative space flowers and leaves pattern. One coat of aEngland The Shield protected the stamping.

Golden Oldie Thursday - Purple

It's time for the next round of Golden Oldie Thursday, this week with the theme "purple".

I used Aphrodite Lacquers Love Is Lost, a cool toned purple jelly with silver-y white hex and square glitter plus some silver holographic hexes. My camera really really hated this color and I couldn't get any accurate pictures of the color, so I tried to edit them a little (honestly, a lot), that's why my skin color looks so funky. The last picture was taken with my cell phone, it's the most color accurate.

Sadly, I wasn't pleased at all with the formula. The jelly base is very sheer and thin, three coats weren't enough for opacity. Only very thin coats stay where they should, on some nails my coats were a little thicker and the polish just slid to the edges of my nails (you can see it on my middle finger, where all the polish assembled on the tip). I finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

 

Aphrodite Lacquers doesn't exist anymore, so sadly, there's no way to get this one, other than blog sales.

A Box, Indied - You've Been HAZED

The fifth and last polish of the august "A Box, Indied" is Glisten & Glow You've Been HAZED. It's my first polish by this brand.

You've Been HAZED is a sky blue holo with slight grey undertones. The pictures show three thin coats. No issues with application to report.

For the roses I used ILoveNailPolish Summer Stargazing, a royal blue holo, and Pueen plate 22. One coat of aEngland The Shield protected the stamping and gave some extra shine.

A Box, Indied - Toga! Toga! Toga!

The next polish of the august "A Box, Indied" is Colors by Llarowe Toga! Toga! Toga!

 


Toga! Toga! Toga! is a warm toned purple holo. It has one of the strongest holo effects I've ever seen in a nailpolish, it's even clearly visible in low light and my light box with diffused lamp light. I used two coats and had no issues with application.

Then I used ILoveNailPolish Grapalicious and Pueen plate 20 to add this pattern.Graalicious is a very darp purple holo. I finished with one coat of aEngland The Shield.

A Box, Indied - Food Fight!

The next „A Box, Indied“ polish of this month is GirlyBits Food Fight!

Food Fight! has a dove blue crelly base with iridescent hexes in two sizes, shimmering in various shades of blue, orange and green, plus holographic microglitter. It was very easy to apply, three coats provided opacity. I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

Golden Oldie Thursday - Black Base

After last week's white base, this week's Golden Oldie Thursday theme's black base. For this I chose a black based glitter polish, KBShimmer Showgirl.






"The lights go down, and the girls come out. Costumes, make-up, flash and flair, a show in Vegas is a sight to be seen. Inspired by those dancers this polish starts with a semi-sheer base of black. Deep enough to cover in two coats, but sheer enough that the  glitters can show through. We then add medium sized rose glitter, a small fuchsia, pink holographic glitter, and square sliver glitter. Black holo  glitter, black shred and black hex glitters complete this polish."

I used three coats and added two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top  for a smooth finish.

A Box, Indied - That Boy Is A P-I-G Pig

With the next polish of the august „A Box, Indied“, Crows Toes This Boy Is A P-I-G Pig, I made a layering experiment with a surprising outcome…

As base color I used Cult Nails Ms. Conduct, a dark chocolate brown creme with plum undertones. Application was very easy, I used two thin coats for opacity.

Then I added one coat of P-I-G. Take a look at the bottle: a sheer soft pink shimmer with silver-y flakies. Then take a look back at the previous picture, this dark chocolate color. Then look at the following pictures. Soft pink + dark brown = blue! (well, actually, it was a blue/purple duochrome)

Of course I added one layer of topcoat (KBShimmer Clearly On Top).
