Lacke in Farbe und bunt - grau

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is grey.






The polish I chose is KBShimmer When The Doves Sigh (Winter 2013 Collection). When The Doves Sigh has a medium grey jelly base with pink, blue, aqua and silver glitters in dot, hex and square form, plus some silver holo microglitter and tiny silver bar glitters. I used three coats for opacity. The polish dried really gritty (maybe even more than usual, since I own it for two and a halft years already), so I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of KBShimmer Cleary On Top for a smooth finish.

Pahlish Mystery Shade

Today's polish has no name, as it is one of Pahlish's mystery shades. When you order one, you don't know what you get, all the mystery polishes are small batches that never come back (at least not exactly the same).







This mystery polish has a muted, somewhat grey leaning seafoam green jelly base (it's a little greener irl) with hex glitter in lilac, purple and silver, some of them holographic, plus iridescent glassfleck shimmer. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Coral & White

It's time for the next 40 Great Nail Art Ideas mani, this week with the colors coral and white. My personal pattern prompt is stripes.





I started with two coats of Essie Blanc, my usual white nail art base. When the base was completely dry, I added some straight Nail Vinyls and added one generous coat of Essence Va-Va-Voom, a vivid, almost neon coral polish that dries to a semi-matte finish, plus one coat of KSBhimmer Clearly On Top after removing the vinyls.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is navy blue.





I chose Pahlish My Bespoke Psychopath, a dark navy blue holo with reddish flakies in it that give the polish an almost purple look. I used three thin coats for opacity.







I added a stamping using ÜberChic plate 1-03 and Barry M. Silver Foil. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the stamping and gave the mani some extra shine.

Totally Tubular

Totally Tubular is the name of today's polish, and it's by KBShimmer (Summer 2013 collection).











Totally Tubular has a medium blue jelly base with green undertones (that disapear in the pictures of my blue-loving camera) with fuchsia, blue and aqua glitters in hex and dot form. I used three coats for opacity. Since Totally Tubular dries quite gritty (I guess mines a little grittier than usual, in the three years sitting with my untrieds it thickened a little), I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Summer

It doesn't really feel like summer here in Switzerland (which is somehow typical for june here), but summer is this week's challenge theme, so here we go. Since I really (really) love ice cream (especially the italian gelati), I decided to try an ice cream mani.





For the "cones" part, I used Essie Case Study, Chanel Particulière and a striping brush. For the ice cream I used Essence Mellow Yellow (vanilla yellow), Essence Always In My Mint (pistacio green) and Essie Lady Like (strawberry pink). As usual,  finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is light green.





For this week I chose Colors By Llarowe Rare Jade (Spring 2016 Collection), a light jade green jelly with golden flakie glitters. I used three coats and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
