I Wish I Was The Moon
Today's polish is by the swiss indie brand Cadillacquer: I Wish I Was The Moon.
"I Wish I Was The Moon has a blue base with iridescent square and hex glitter and very small purple iridescent glitter."
(Source: Cadillacquer)
The blue base has grey undertones and is a creme/jelly hybrid, so it's more opaque than a pure jelly, the glitters in the lower layers tend to get hidden by the following coats. I used three coats for opacity and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
On my ring finger, as an accent nail, I used three coats of Nubar Boyfriend Jeans (shown here) and stamped with China Glaze Adore and MoYou Suki Collection plate 08.
Cadillacquer polishes are available on Big Cartel, at Llarowe and at Harlow & Co. I Wish I Was The Moon is on sale at the Big Cartel shop right now, so I guess this polish is discontinued.

I am stunned - beautiful!! And that Nubar could be a perfect base for Wish I was the Moon when I am not in the mood for layer upon layer of polish!!!
ReplyDeleteConsidering the Nubar takes three coats to get opaque as well, you can't save any layers with adding I Wish I Was The Moon over Boyfriend Jeans. You could save some of the precious indie polish, but I guess people like us don't really know how a empty bottle of polish (other than top- and basecoat) looks like, so saving some shouldn't really be an issue ;-)
DeleteOoooh, this is preeeetty! I love the accent nail. Great stamping design!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Melissa! You always make me happy and smiling with your comments :-)
