Shake it, Tess!
Another flakie mani for today, this time a combo my boyfriend chose.
My base color is a England Tess D'Urbervilles (Gothic Beauties Collection), a blackened base with intense emerald shimmer. I think Tess has the most prominent shimmer of all the Gothic Beauties polishes, the others like to hide it and look plain black if the light isn't just perfect, but with Tess the shimmer is visible all the time. I used two coats for a even coverage.
Then I added one coat of Catrice Shake it, Flake it! (Million Styles Limited Edition), a clear base filled with flakes shifting from red over orange and yellow to green (plus one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer).
Of course I had to mattefy it, so I added one coat of Essence Soft Touch topcoat.
a England polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

I am pretty sure that tomorrow or the day after you will wow me with another amazing manicure, but so far this must be my favorite one! It is just GORGEOUS and I want to wear it NOW! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like it, Melissa! And don't worry, I still have endless polishes to show, so I'm sure you'll have a hard time choosing your absolute favorite ;-)
DeleteHihi your title cracks me up!!! Hilarious!!! Tess is still sitting in my untrieds (shame on me) but then we share a similar weakness - loads of untried beauties, right? And mattified flakies? Well drop dead gorgeous!!!! Beautiful combination :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine! I guess with our stash of untrieds we could serve at least 10 "normal" polish users for the rest of their lives - each :-P
DeleteWoah, the matte version is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThank you Deborah, I'm so glad you like it!
