Chandelle Rests In The Forest
No blue or purple and only a little green today :-)
My base color for this mani is Catrice Rest In The Forest (Siberian Call Limited Edition), a clear base filled with beige and pink glitter flakes that give the polish a pinkish-nude foil look. Application was easy, but Rest In The Forest is very sheer, I used three coats and my nail line still was visible.
On top of Rest In The Forest I dabbed one coat of Darling Diva Polish Chandelle, "crystal glitters in a rosey taupey base wtih pink, green, gold holographic, and copper glitter. It is a very grown up glitter polish and might be that bridge to wearing glitter to a conservative office?"

I actually wore this mani for a business meeting, and there were comments about my nails, so I can confirm the wearability in office :-)
For a smooth finish I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer.
Darling Diva Polishes can be found on Etsy, at Mei Mei Signatures and at Llarowe.

Just lovely...even if it isn't blurple. :) I'm lucky because I can wear whatever I want to the office. My boss loves nail polish and since I match it to my clothing, I always look pulled together.
ReplyDeleteUsually I wear everything I want, almost everything I post here was a "work-mani". But sometimes I've got what I call "business meetings", which often are in fact court sessions / trials (I work at a court of law), and for these occasions I prefer neutral manis to preserve the people's trust in our justice system ;-)
DeleteOfcourse you can wear this at the office! Then again, I would wear just about anything at the office, lol :-) Have a lovely weekend miss!
ReplyDeleteI usually do, too, but as I explained in the previous comment, there are some occasions where I have to appear more, well, respectable that at a normal day ;-)
DeleteI wish you a great weekend, too. I'm sure mine will be lovely, I'm going to see my boyfriend again, haven't seen him for three weeks now...
Beautiful - this is what I call sophistication with an edgy and a wink!!! I always look for those kind of office appropriate manis - luckily I can also wear anything I want on most days but then there are those days were I just prefer to walk the planet in a more corporate mood!!! You always show us great ways to bridge our love for eye-catching nail polish with corporate appropriateness!!! Enjoy your weekend :-D
ReplyDeleteJust like me, most of the time I wear blues and greens and purples for work, but just as you said, there are these days where the bright colors just don't fit. But as I get bored with a simple creme mani extremely fast, I always have to add something :-)
DeleteI hoffe, du hesch o es schöns Wuchenänd :-)
