Independence Day
Happy 4th of July to my american readers! About 1/3 of my readers live in the US, and to honor their national holiday, I have a mani in red, white and blue to show you.
First I sponged a gradient using Essie Blanc and Bouncer It's Me (Neon 2013 Collection).
Then I added one dabbed coat of Emily De Molly Ruby Soho, a clear base filled with red glitters in various sizes and shapes (hexes, circles, bars). Some of the glitters are just "normal" red glitters, some are matte and some are even holographic.
I had no issued with application, but due to the mass of glitters Ruby Soho dried a little gritty. I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for a glassy smooth finish.
Emily de Molly polishes are available on Etsy (Australia only), at Llarowe, at Shoppe Eclectico, and at Norway Nails.
BTW, as you can see, I'm experimenting with a new, dark background. How do you like it? Better? Worse? Just different?
