40 Great Nail Art Ideas: 3 Shades of Purple
Three shades of purple are this weeks prompt, and py personal pattern prompt is nude base.
My nude base is Pahlish La Dernière Reine, a pale beige nude with copper colored flakie shimmer. I used three coats.
My three shades of purple are OPI Vant To Bite My Neck, OPI Planks A Lot and Essie Full Steam Ahead. I painted them on my Ubermat, let them dry, cut out the triangles, placed them on my nails and fixed everything with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. Sadly, I managed to smear the design with my topcoat.
Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.

Lovely idea! I definitely need an Ubermat. My top coat also misbehaved 😡 it bubbled! Yours look great even smeared, it Lois super pop artsy!
ReplyDeleteThank you hon! You definitely need an Ubermat, every nail art interested gal needs one! (there are a lot of brands that sell their own kind of the mat, Bundle Monster for example, I guess they're all good, but I only tried the Uber Chic one)
DeleteOh nooo, darn that top coat :-( Still, cool design though.
ReplyDeleteThank you Melissa! I'm usually absolutely happy with my topcoat, I don't know why it smeared this time, it usually doesn't...
DeleteThese look amazing! I've totally done that by the way -- smeared my design with my top coat...it's awful! Still look great though :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Nikki! I guess every one of us nail gals has had our share of experience with smearing topcoat (luckily, my KBShimmer usually doesn't)
