For this mani I let my boyfriend chose the polishes, and I think he did a really good job :-)
My base color is Essence Shopping @Portobello Road (Vintage District Trend Edition), a vibrant teal creme. The color is more green leaning than my pictures show, I wasn't really able to capture it with my camera. I used three coats for full opactiy. A little warning if you own this polish: don't forget the base coat! I did (I always wear basecoat, just this time I forgot) and it stained massively.
On top of Shopping @Portobello Road I added one coat of Dollish Polish Mermaid Scales. "Part Of the Mythical Creatures set, Mermaid Scales is an under the sea, magical shade that has a duo-chrome base, flashing from an ocean Teal to Green with varying sized iridescent and turquoise/teal hexagon glitters that will be sure to take your fingertips on an aquatic adventure!"
(Source: Dollish Polish).
I had no issues with the formula, application was nice and easy. I finished this mani with one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer.
Dollish Polish are available at their store, at Llarowe and at Overall Beauty.
Sieht wirklich sehr meerjungfrauenhaft aus.
ReplyDeleteIch finde auch, der Name passt perfekt :-)
DeleteI'm still scared to use that Essence polish after I forgot basecoat one time...... This is a great combo!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it. Concerning staining polishes, I've really bad luck: every time I've finally managed to remove/grow out the stains (it often takes me several weeks) I use the next staining polish without knowing it. So my nails are constantly stained... :-/
DeleteI loooove glitters like these! They are just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, they are :-)
DeleteThis is a gorgeous combo! Mermaid Scales is super pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Melissa! Yes, Mermaid Scales really is gorgeous.
