Wisteria Gumdrops

Today I have a purple mani to show you.

My base color is Pahlish Violet Gumdrops, a deep purple holo with copper flakie glitters. I used two coats for opacity.

For the stamping I used Kiko Mirror Lacquer 622 (Wisteria) and Born Pretty Store plate BPS-L034. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Pahlish polishes are available on Bigcartel and at Overall Beauty.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Reciprocal Gradient

This week's challenge theme is reciprocal gradient.

I decided to stay very simple with this one. Just two polishes (MoYou London Winter Green and Born Pretty Store stamping polish No. 343) plus some chevron nail vinyls (and my beloved KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat, of course).

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - bordeaux

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is bordeaux.

The polish I chose is Joy To The World from an old Christmas Edition by Essence, with a bordeaux creme base and a gold glitter topper. I used two coats of the base color for opacity.

I dabbed the glitter topper on the nails using a make up sponge to create a gradient at my cutiles. The smaller glitter turned somewhat copper, that's due to the base color that partly got soaked up by the sponge. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Flare Leaves

Another fall leave mani for today.

For this one I used a multichrome base with Picture Polish Solar Flare a sheer multichrome with holo flecks, shifting from a greenish gold over bronze to a bordeaux red, over a deep red base (two coats of Essie Carry On).

For the stamping I used ÜberChic Lovely Leaves 02 plate and MoYou London Black Knight. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Picture Polish are available at  Harlow & Co., Pshiiit and their own shop (plus many more, here's a list of additional retailers).

Nail Crazies Unite: Stamping With Flakie Polish Base

Another friday, another challenge theme: stamping with flakie polish base.

I started with three coats of L'Oréal Color Riche 608 Luxembourg Garden, a dove grey polish with green shimmer.

Then I added one coat of Nfu Oh 054, a clear based flakie topper with colorshifting flakies, from green to blue.

For the stamping I used Kiko Mirror Lacquer 625 (Emerald) and ÜberChic Lovely Leaves 02 plate. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Lacke in Farbe und bunt - beige

Lacke in Farbe und bunt is a weekly nail polish challenge by Lenas Sofa and Das Jahreszeitenhaus. Each week they have a new color scheme, and this week's color is beige.

My beige polish is China Glaze Fast Track, a beige (duh) polish with strong golden fleck shimmer. I've already shown this one, but this was pretty much exactly four years ago (on november 16th, 2013), so I thought it was time to wear it again. I used three coats.

On top of Fast Track, I layered Penélope Luz Bastet,a topper with brown microglitters and multicolored hexes in a slightly brown tinted base. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a smooth finish.

Penélope Luz polishes are available at Norway Nails and at Mei Mei's Signatures, where I bought it.

Perfect Storm

Perfect Storm is the name of today's polish, and it's by Hare Polish.

Perfect Storm has a dark teal jelly base that looks almost black, and is filled with magenta and silver hex and dot glitters and magenta squares, plus some microglitter. I used three coats and added two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

The brand Hare Polish seems to be no longer available.
