40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Grey&Color
Grey & Color is this week's color prompt, and my personal pattern prompt is mosaic/stained glass.
The base color I used is H&M Wintersky, a grey based polish with duochrome shimmer shifting from green to pink. Wintersky reminds me of a nail polish version of MAC Vex. I know it looks more purple in the pictures, but it really is a grey base.
For the stained glass accent nails, I used three Nfu Oh jelly polishes (JS27, JS30, JS34) and Love, Angeline nail vinyls. One coat of Pahlish Magic Mirror Top Coat finished this mani.
Beautiful! I sometimes wonder how much time you invest for a particular mani though - it seems so timeconsuming...
ReplyDeleteThank you hon! The most time consuming about this one was to wait until the base color was completely dry (if you don't, the base sticks to the vinyls when you remove them, and you destroy the mani), so I did this one in two days, one day to apply the base and the next evening stick on the vinyls, apply the colors, remove the vinyls and add topcoat. This took me about 10-15 minutes for both hands (with only two accent nails per hand), plus the normal time to apply basecoat, three coats of polish and topcoat the day before.
DeleteSimply awsome! I love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you do!
Deletea fantastic manicure Andrea!! I love the base and the jellies. I suddenly "need" those nail vinyls too!
ReplyDeleteSince they're not too expensive, I'm sure you need them :-)
DeleteI like this design - still one that i want to try!
ReplyDeleteYou should give it a try, it's retty easy using nail vinyls :-)
