Golden Oldie Thursday - Flowers

It's Golden Oldie Thursday again, this week with flowers.

My base color is Models Own Deep Purple, a duochrome shimmer shifting from a grey-ish green to, well, a deep purple. I used two coats for opacity.

Then I used MoYou Landscape Collection plate 02 and China Glaze Joy (Romantique Collection), a muted magenta shimmer, to add different flowers on every nail. One coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer gave extra shine. Sadly, the color shift of Deep Purple almost completely disappeared after the stamping, I guess it was the topcoat that dulled it.

Have a look at all the other flowers below

  1. This is a beautiful combination! Shame the colour shift disappeared though. I don't use my bottle of Deep Purple nearly enough!

    1. Thank you <3
I guess you've got the problem we all have: too many polishes, not enough hands ;-)

  2. I would sacrifice my hands for the greater good 😉

  3. Beautiful mani - and I cannot wait to receive my first Moju plates - I started practising stamping again and hope for some better results with these.... And that Models Own sits in my untrieds too :-S

    1. The MoYou plates are awesome, and the quality is great. If you have problems with the results, maybe a different stamper or scraper would help? I always use a big, white, squishy stamper and a plastic card for scraping.

    1. Why not, time flies, and Christmas is only a little more than 7 months away ;-)
