Gooseberry Chic

Now that December has started, it's time to take out the more winter-y colors :-)

As base color I used Smitten Polish Gooseberry Gumdrop, a mint green crelly with very subtle white flakes.

Gooseberry Gumdrop is pretty sheer, I used three coats and it was just about opaque, but I had no other  issues with application.

I added the stamping using China Glaze Tongue & Chic (Autumn Nights Collection), a teal metallic shimmer, and MoYou Sailer Collection plate 05. Then I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat as a finishing move. This time, the topcoat smeared my stamping a little, I guess it wasn't dry enough when I added the topcoat, as usually Clearly On Top doesn't smear.

Smitten Polish are sold on Etsy.

  1. This kind of pale pastel green is usually not my cup of tea, and on its own I probably wouldn't wear it, but with the dark green design over it I really like it!

    1. I'm glad you do. That's why I love stamping: it's so easy to do and gives the mani a completely new look :-)
